Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Very clean, and well equipped cottage. Nov 2012.
  2. An ideal location for a relaxing holiday. Ignore the busy road behind - the noise is not excessive and the nearness to the M6 and truckstop and services at Tebay are a bonus. A brilliant base for both Lakes and Dales, and a beautiful garden to relax and enjoy the wildlife at the end of a busy day. July 2012.
  3. Excellent cottage. Well situated for touring Cumbria. June 2012.
  4. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Conveniently located between the Lake District & Yorkshire Dales. Would thoroughly recommend and have every intention of returning. May 2012.
  5. An excellent base for touring the Lakes and the Dales. The owners are very welcoming. Excellent collection of books and maps available in the property. April 2012.
  6. Amazing place a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The master bedroom and en suite were amazing. Some people have commented about the noise of the traffic but we live on a busy road so this was not a problem and the garden at the back of the property made up for this. March 2012.
  7. Lovely obliging owners. March 2012.
  8. Really great cottage with convenient position for Cumbrian lakes and Yorkshire moors and Dales. Super holiday. March 2012.
  9. Great central location for Lakes and Dales. Well furnished cottage, very comfortable, well equipped and great birdwatching from the sofa. Highly recommend the Chocolate Factory in Orton - Hot Chocolate to die for (not to mention the chocolates themselves) also the Wensleydale Creamery in Lawes - if you love cheese - you will love this. Looking forward to going again. Oct 2011.
  10. We had a great holiday despite the weather but we still had a good time. Lovely accommodation and Dave was very helpful. Beautiful area. Sept 2011.
  11. A lovely and comfortable property. It is well-maintained, with a beautiful garden and views. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Even the weather obliged. We visited the Lakes and the Dales and also went to the Pennines, to see High Force. The villages of Greystoke and Cartmel are also worth a visit. July 2011.
  12. The reason for ticking poor location is the proximity of the very busy and noisy A685 within metres of the front of the property. Morning rush hour started at 06:00 which made a poor start to the day and continued until late at night. The garden was beautiful but again unusable because of the noise level of the traffic. June 2011.
  13. Fantastic holiday, a good place to come back to after a day exploring the Lakes. The Waiting Room was just like home, very comfy and everything you needed. Very clean and the garden was lovely, it was good that it had a feeding station for the birds, it was lovely to see. Would go back there again. May 2011.
  14. Nice accommodation with a lot of light, especially the master bedroom with wonderful view was excellent. Nothing to complain about. July 2010.
  15. First of all you need to alter the location of the cottage on the Google Earth web page as it is incorrect and extremely confusing. The cottage, The Waiting Rooms, was excellent, the owners being very helpful and welcoming and not at all intrusive. The cottage itself was about the best we have ever found and we would have no hesitation in returning in the future. The owners are to be complimented in the cottage and we hope you will pass on our comments to them confirming these points. July 2010.
  16. The cottage was an excellent base for our holiday and convenient for both lakes and dales. Accommodation very comfortable and very dog friendly. Good sized pretty garden overlooking countryside. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming - highly recommended. June 2010.
  17. The location and views were very good and the wild birds in the garden were a real bonus. May 2010.
  18. Well furnished, comprehensively equipped, warm, excellent views. Jan 2010.
  19. Everything about the property was good, high spec and good furnishing, bed very comfy and you felt it had a touch of luxury. Nov 2009.
  20. Very comfortable with great views over the local countryside. Oct 2009.
