Ideally located for the famous cathedral city of Wells, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Glastonbury, Longleat House and Safari Park and Weston Super Mare. Several NT properties in the area. Horse riding and golf nearby. Beauty therapy treatments available in traditional shepherd’s hut. Shop 400 yards, pub 50 yards.

First floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 double (zip and link) with en-suite shower room and toilet, 2 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Second floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double with Velux, sloping ceilings and en-suite toilet, 1 twin with Velux and sloping ceiling.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed lawned garden with patio area and furniture. Barbecue. Ample parking. Cycle store. No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Several steps and changes of level in garden.

  1. We were looking for a home from home for Christmas that would accommodate 9/10 of us comfortably. So that we could have a traditional UK Christmas with family. We live in Hong Kong. Jan 2012.
  2. The Wagon House is a very spacious property in the quiet village of Wellow. The village is very friendly and the pub across the road provides a good range of meals at very good value for money. All of the staff are friendly and courteous and could not do enough for our party of eight. The owners of the property are also very friendly and are close by if you require any assistance. The property is very well presented throughout with a very good sized kitchen and a large dining table to accommodate ten people. Excellent for a family gathering. A point to note however, the Wagon House is located a few miles from a large supermarket. If you have a long drive (like we did) be sure to take some necessities with you like tea, coffee, milk as there were non in the house. You will also need to bring other little bits like hand wash as nothing is provided. We took our own towels on top of what was provided. If you do like a big bath towel then I would suggest you take one with you. Sept 2011.

  4. This is an excellent holiday home for families. It is well-equipped and spacious, and the owners, who live next door, are friendly and on hand if you need help or advice. Good parking at the back. The grounds are pleasant and there is a gas barbecue available. For small children (toddlers) be aware of two flights of stairs (no stair gates) and steps up to the kitchen - but our 2 year old and two 3 year olds found no problems with them. The outside area is not secure and toddlers could escape! Wellow is a lovely, quiet village, conveniently situated for Bath, Longleat etc. and a good pub is just over the road. Access roads to the village are quite narrow but OK. April 2011.

Property was spacious and furnishings to a good standard apart from the lounge where the patterned carpet and seating was dated, it was not relaxing to come back to the property from a day out and sit in this suite. Also it would have been nice, espiecally in February, to have been able to use the log burner. Feb 2011.
