Bala

The Town House

| Ref: 28932
Grade 4 Star rating

This well-positioned, detached holiday property is located in the centre of Bala in the Snowdonia National Park, an area known as the Welsh Lake District. Guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery provided by the surrounding lakes and mountain backdrop, and the area happily caters for those who enjoy sailing, white water rafting, high ropes, paintballing and courses for 4x4s and quad bikes. For those seeking a quiet holiday, there is Tan Yr Allt Gallery, a 9 mile return journey on the Bala Lake Steam Railway and Caerau Uchaf gardens, the highest gardens open to the public in North Wales. The property is within easy walking distance of the numerous restaurants, shops and pubs the town has to offer. Visitors to this area also have, within half an hour’s drive, access to Dolgellau with its Mawddach Trail, Cader Idris mountain range and Cymer Abbey. Further west would take you towards the Cambrian coast where miles of sandy beaches can be found near Barmouth. Further tourist attractions include Castell Y Bere, Talyllyn Railway, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine exploring and craft centre, Spring Watch location at Ynys Hir and nearby Harlech Castle. 20 minutes east takes you to the popular tourist destination of Llangollen which offers horse drawn barge rides, canal boat trips, steam railways and a motor museum, plus access over the Berwyn Mountain range down the Tanat Valley to one of the eight wonders of Wales, Llanrhaeadr Waterfalls. North would see you at Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Swallow Falls in Betws Y Coed and then on to Snowdon, with its mountain railway, Sygun copper mines and numerous historic castles.
