Refurbished and beautifully furnished with private patio and pebbled courtyard overlooking fields, it lies within walking distance of a variety of pubs and restaurants. Whitby, with its delightful harbour and marina is within easy reach, offering numerous seaside amenities. Inland, the North York Moors National Park offers excellent walking and country inns serving excellent food. Shops 1 mile.

First floor: Three bedrooms; one double, one twin, one bunk. Bathroom with toilet.

  1. Property located in a beautiful spot right in front of the golf course and beach with hills behind. Were covered in snow when we went which was even better. About a 5 minute drive from Whitby centre but pubs etc about. Heating could have been better though, had a very cold first day even with the heating and fire on full blast. Feb 2012.
  2. We found the Toll Bar Cottage was in an excellent location aprox mid way between Whitby and the lovely little village of Sandsend. The views from the cottage are great, looking over the golf course with the sea beyond. The cottage itself was very clean & comfortable with all mod-cons & plenty of games & books for the children. The outside lights in the yard need to be fixed as we found it difficult at night when returning. Would certainly use the Toll Bar again should we return to Whitby. Oct 2011.
  3. We were eight ladies that had not been to the area before, we enjoyed our stay and thought the house could not have been better. Plenty of everything including games, books, videos etc, we had a very enjoyable holiday. Sept 2011.
  4. Cosy well appointed accommodation, which was well furnished and plenty of crockery and cutlery. All the white goods you need! Extra touches from the owners was a supply of cleaning materials, tea, coffee and biscuits. Location is excellent for touring around and less than 5 mins walk to the beach. Nov 2010.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
