Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A wonderful cottage with very friendly hosts - will go back again ( this is our 2nd visit). June 2012.
  2. The Threshing Barn was great- beautifully converted, spacious, clean, well-equipped (including a dishwasher- you don’t want to be washing up on holiday!) and in a lovely rural location. Awoke to the sound of sheep and birdsong. We enjoyed access to public footpaths across fields and the village shop and pub were only a few minutes walk away. We stayed for a week but could have spent longer there as it was a great base from which to explore the countryside (armed with OS map and GPS!), Glastonbury, Wells, Longleat House and Safari Park, Cheddar and Ebbor Gorge. Didn’t make it to the beach at Weston-Super-Mare but did find some bargains at Street shopping village! Overall, a really enjoyable, relaxing break. March 2012.
  3. Compact but well furnished and presented throughout. Well situated for lots of attractions, Cheddar Gorge is a must for all ages. Nov 2011.
  4. Could not be improved. Superb hosts, nothing too much trouble. Wish it was my cottage. Sept 2011.
  5. Fantastic accommodation. Very well equipped, amazing location, short walk to a really nice pub and good walking and cycling in the area. July 2011.
  6. Perfect location within reach of superb nature reserves and places of historic interest. Stunning views around every corner. Very friendly and helpful owners nearby who spent time with us and advised on where to go and where to eat. June 2011.
  7. Village very nice. Cottage unusual - bedrooms on the ground floor. Farmyard atmosphere - would be nice for children. May 2011.
  8. Perfect location, accommodation is lovely and our hosts were very welcoming. A1 recommendation. April 2011.
  9. The children enjoyed being near to sheep and ducks. Helping to collect cider apples and seeing the community help in operating an old fashioned cider press was memorable. The owners were helpful and friendly but in no way obtrusive. The children liked the upside down nature of the rooms e.g. bedrooms and bathroom on ground floor. The property’s location made a superb base from which to explore the area. Oct 2010.
  10. Location, tastefully modernised, decorared excellently. Loved wooden feel to the place. Just loved everything about it. Furnished lovely, would just love to live in it all the while! Sep 2010.
  11. Very clean, excellent location, lovely surroundings. Aug 2010.
  12. The cottage (converted barn) has been beautifully prepared with comfortable rooms and wonderful crisp and clear environment. All the facilities a family needs and plenty of space for living and cooking. July 2010.
  13. Well laided out spasious conversion. June 2010.
  14. The property was very comfortable, well equipped and in a wonderful location. June 2010.
  15. Excellent barn conversion in an idyllic location. May 2010.
  16. An excellent barn conversion which was well equipped and owned by good friendly folk set in beautiful surroundings. May 2010.
  17. The conversion is completed to a very good standard. It was great having the living area on the first floor over looking the beautiful scenery. March 2010.
  18. We were there in very cold weather but the property was warm and cosy. It was also very light and roomy for the size. Equipment was generous in quantity and it was useful having a washer/dryer and dish washer. Fresh tree branches with unusual catkins greeted us on arrival. Feb 2010.
  19. The property was exactly as described, very comfortable, has all the home comforts, ie washing machine, dish washer etc. Great location, very convenient for Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. Aug 2009.
  20. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The situation was idyllic (helped by the weather which was glorious, we had to buy suntan lotion in April!). Altogether a very enjoyable and relaxing week. April 2009.
