Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The greeting from the owner was warm and friendly, and the provision of fresh farm eggs and a home made chocolate cake in the fridge was a lovely gesture that made you feel welcome. June 2012.
  2. This was a beautiful cottage, very high standard. We were made to feel right at home. There was a brilliant pub in the village for food. My husband is disabled and the cottage was ideal for us. March 2012.
  3. A very high spec property, fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. The owners were welcoming and helpful but in no way intrusive. There was a very pretty private garden and all windows in the property looked onto it, so we were not overlooked from any direction. There was a beautiful Victoria Sponge, milk and new laid eggs waiting for us in the property on our arrival. Absolutely everything you could wish for was to be found in the cottage. We experienced a heatwave whilst we were there and there was even an electric fan for each bedroom. My husband is not very steady on his feet and the fact that everything was on one level and very flat both inside and out was a great help. The highlights of our holiday were a visit to Southwold which was like stepping back in time, and the walking trail in Eye. For World War 2 buffs, there are many old airfields that have been made into museums and tourist attractions. Sept 2011.
  4. A very enjoyable stay - very comfortable cottage with a very good standard overall. The indoor swimming pool was superb being only half a dozen paces from the cottage. Hosts are superb and catered for every need. Surroundings were quiet and picturesque, but the gardens are very secluded to offer a good level of privacy. A good base for exploring Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex with the benefit of a swimming pool. August 2011.
  5. A superb cottage in every way, even had one of the chickens lay us a fresh egg every morning under our bedroom window. Swimming pool was fantastic. One little gripe, the duvet was not big enough for the bed. But would rate 5 stars, and would return. July 2011.
  6. A very well equipped and maintained cottage with good privacy. Pool was nice and so was the cake! May 2011.
  7. Supurb location, wonderful accommodation and the Johnstones looked after us very well. May 2011.
  8. Well equipped cottage. Well maintained private secure garden. Wonderful clean swimming pool. Sept 2010.
  9. Very clean and lovely furnishings and finish. With own access and garden. Sept 2010.
  10. We thought the photo’s of the property didn’t do it justice, it really exceeded expectations. It was also kitted out to a very high standard, appliances better than ours at home. Aug 2010.
  11. Extremely well furnished. Everything you could need, including string. Aug 2010.
  12. Very well stocked and furnished. Peaceful, private base with generous use of swimming pool. Aug 2010.
  13. We really enjoyed everything at The Stables. July 2010.
  14. A wonderfully prepared, clean, well stocked property, finished to an excellent standard with some nice little touches from the owners such as fresh eggs and cakes on arrival. June 2010.
  15. It was faultless in terms of space, furnishings and equipment - so much a home from home that we were reluctant to leave! April 2010.
  16. First class accommodation. Great location and very peaceful. Ideal when you have a toddler as all on one level. Really friendly owner which was appreciated. Jan 2010.
  17. Situated in very attractive surroundings which provided us with easy access to many places of interest. There was plenty of information available in the cottage. The owner of the property was very welcoming and had a very good eye for detail. Sept 2009.
  18. The property is of a very high standard. The bathrooms with thick towels, power showers and complimentary toiletries were excellent. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could wish for when self catering and the dishwasher and washer drier made life a little easier. The heated pool was a bonus and also had towels provided. It is the small thoughtful items supplied by the owner that made our holiday one of the best! Sept 2009.
  19. The accommodation was furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained. Aug 2009.
  20. It is self contained with its own pretty little garden and patio area. The owners have thought about everything you may need for your stay and provided it. They were also very generous about the time they gave us to use their pool. Aug 2009.
