Exmouth

The Retreat

| Ref: 27161
Grade 3 Star rating

The Retreat is an annexe of the owner’s home, with countryside views from the patio. Exmouth’s main attraction is the two miles of beach, and there is also the Exe Estuary, home to numerous species of wildlife and a favourite with birdwatchers. There are walks close by including the Jurassic Coast with stunning views. From the coastal path you can experience sheer cliff faces and strangely eroded rock formations. Exmouth is the place for water sports, and nearby Crealy Park is a great day out for the family. Exeter is a short train ride along the estuary with cathedral and shops, or take a trip to Dartmoor where you will find heather clad tors and Dartmoor ponies. Take a ferry to Starcross and stroll to Powderham Castle. Watch the sunset across the Haldon Hills whilst sampling one of the local ales or wines. Stop off at Beer, with caves and beach, visit Branscombe and Sidmouth with shopping and promenade, or Seaton where you can take a tram ride through the countryside. Just a 10-minute walk to the beach and shops and 20-minute walk to the town centre, make these holiday properties an ideal location for families, cyclists and walkers. Drinkstone Lodge (ref 27162) is a modern detached property in the grounds of the owner’s home, with a sea glimpse from the living room window.
