Lovers of the countryside will find delightful gentle rambles from the door or more strenuous hikes in the limestone areas. The market town of Leyburn 4 miles away has restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, traditional shops and galleries to browse around arranged around the market square. There is also easy access into the head of Wharfedale and into Swaledale. Conveniently close to the property there is a village inn with a restaurant renowned for its food and the nearby villages have character pubs serving Yorkshire beers and good food.
