Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Fabulous property, tastefully decorated throughout in an Edwardian period theme. Immaculate throughout, with "home from home" finishing touches. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, definitely on the cards for 2013/14. May 2012.
  2. A great place to enjoy a relaxing break in a spacious comfortable house. 11 of us spent a long weekend family get together and The Old Vicarage was an ideal location. We would certainly stay here again. March 2012
  3. We had an excellent long weekend celebrating family birthdays. The house suited us brilliantly and a good time was had by all. March 2012.
  4. The Old Vicarage is a wonderful place to stay. We had our Golden Wedding House Party there recently and had a fantastic time. All our guests have said what a great party we all had including the dogs. The house had lovely big rooms but was still warm and cosy. We cooked all our meals in the well equiped kitchen and had Pool and Darts tournaments in the games room. The games room is small but we all had great fun down there. Would love to stay there again and we are hoping our friends will have a party there and we will get invited. Everything about the house and our party exceeded all our expectations. March 2012.
  5. The photographs on the website of this lovely property can in know way prepare you for just how gorgeous it is! We had a brilliant week, the Old Vicarage is a wonderful place to stay and it was super clean and packed with everything required for a perfect holiday. Feb 2012.
  6. Fantastic accommodation - home from home. Dec 2011.
  7. Very Spacious so ideal for ’extended family’ break. Oct 2011.
  8. What a wonderful place for a "Family Get Together". We all absolutely adored it. Even my Grandchildren (22 - 15) to whom a "Family Holiday" isn’t cool- loved it !They even enjoyed walking Wasdale Head ! We will certainly be booking "The Old Vicarage" again. The Owners have got it just right. Thank you so much. Oct 2011.
  9. Fab holiday had at a great property, plenty of room for our large party. Would love to come again! Sept 2011.
  10. The Old Vicarage was perfect for our needs - a 50th family birthday party for a group of 11, young and old. The property is spacious with sufficient room for people to have time to their self or, be together and enjoy each others company. Spot on long weekend. Sept 2011.
  11. An ideal property for family gatherings. June 2011.
  12. Very spacious property and good size of rooms. Small children need to be watched carefully in garden because of stone walls and gates that open immediately onto a busy road. It is in a pleasant location with plenty of interesting things to do. Nearest big food shopping centre is Kendal. Grange has lovely park and promenade. The walk from opposite house up the hill and through the woods to Grange is great - even our 2yr olds managed (most of it)! Can recommend a trip to Barrow Docks Museum - good for children and adults and it is free! The whole area has wonderful views over Morecombe Bay. We all agreed it would be worth going back there. July 2011.
  13. The house was perfectly located and with a walled/fenced in gareden the 5 kids with us had great fun playing games in the sun. The house has a great feel to it and is located in a lovelly little village. June 2011.
  14. The Old Vicarage is a brilliant holiday home for a large family or get together, the deco was lovely, the location was great for all South Lakes attractions. Would definitely recommend to friends. June 2011.
  15. Well located property with plenty of room, and very comfortable for a larger party or family gathering. Ideally suited to explore the Lake District. Very clean property with enough space to accommodate everyone. May 2011.
  16. Lovely place, had a very nice weekend 9,of us. Had lots of laughs out of Agnes the ghost, hope she wasnt offended! The only problem was those wanting a bath had to wait till heating came on for hot water, but there was plenty of electric showers, so not to big a problem. All together a lovely house in pretty surroundings. March 2011.
  17. Fantastic house set in a lovely location. The house was spacious but managed to retain a homely feel. Will definitely be returning to this property. Feb 2011.
  18. A great house for a group holiday - plenty of room and facilities for all, very comfortable - especially the beds, yet not so pristine or fussy that we worried about the kids. The location is good as well with a friendly pub in the village (Lindale Arms) and nice walks through the woods and limestone pavement to Grange with the Hazlemere Bakery, Higginsons Butchers and good deli. We had a lovely walk from Arndale station to Leighton Moss to watch the starling murmurations then a train back to Grange - highly recommended. Feb 2011.
  19. Spacious and lovely accommodation for a large group. Nov 2010.
  20. Exactly as advertised - perfect for my family and myself. Oct 2010.
