Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Wonderful venue for holding a large family gathering - our ages ranged from 1 year to 75. Everyone was happy, comfortable and the kids played hide-and-seek to their hearts content - we may have left some of them there by mistake! Oct 2012.
  2. The property was very spacious and very well equipped (especially the kitchen). The cinema room/playroom was an added bonus which all the family enjoyed. We had four small children in our party, they loved the house but the garden was their favourite place. It was a safe place for them with a playhouse as well. June 2012.
  3. Excellent accommodation for a family holiday. Plenty of room to facilitate large gathering. Well furnished good facilities, and would highly recommend. April 2012.
  4. Great house, with so much space and a great cinema. Close to Poole Quay with good restaurants. A great place to go for a family reunion or similar. March 2012.
  5. Amazing house, can’t wait to come back. Had hen weekend there, with 12 girls - brilliant. Can’t rave any more about this house, out of this world. Everyone loved it. They’ve thought of everyone. Dec 2011.
  6. Beautiful property, perfect for a weekend getaway! Nov 2011.
  7. Great house, loads of room for 8 adults, 4 toddlers and a baby. We loved the cinema room, and the trampoline in the garden. It’s a shame it was such a rainy weekend as we would’ve liked to have sepnt more time in the garden, and at the beach - which is really close by, and there’s a great playground and paddling pool there too. Oct 2011.
  8. Aged from two to seventy-five all twelve of us had a wonderful stay at the Old Rectory. It is a lovely, comfortable family home and we enjoyed being enveloped in the history of the property. There is enough room for each person to have their own space but also a chance for a get-together around the dining table and also in the wonderful cinema room which has been imaginatively decorated in a style which would put any of today’s cinemas to shame! The kitchen is kitted out to a high standard with everything to hand. My only regret is that the weather was so nice we didn’t make full use of the cosy sitting room! Bet it is wonderful at Christmas. The only tip I can think of is that it would be nice to have some information at the property as to the history of the house, as we were all trying to imagine it in its setting in past centuries. Aug 2011.
  9. A great house for our extended family including 6 children under 4. They enjoyed the playground, beach and excellent paddling pool just 5 mins walk at Hamworthy Park. Fish and chips locally were brilliant. Altogether a good family holiday. Where can we go next year??? June 2011.
  10. The Old Rectory is an amazing property, it totally exceeded my expectations & I felt like royalty staying in such a grand building. Decorated with such attention to detail I could easily return time after time, perfect for any occasion. Feb 2011.
  11. Stunning old house in a surprising location - very spacious and well arranged. Jan 2011.
  12. This was a real treat, much better than we expected - photos on website did not do it justice. Beautiful home very well equipped. Oct 2010.
  13. The Old Rectory was enjoyed by all our family. All the bedrooms were excellent, clean, well decorated and none were the same. Sep 2010.
  14. The Old Rectory certainly has the wow factor. Perfect place for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Children and adults alike loved the house, its grounds and the quality of everything. This is the first time that I have stayed somewhere where the children got bored of hide and seek... so many places to hide, they could never find anyone. I can see us going again next year. July 2010.
  15. A lovely old rambling house, extremely well fitted out allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the delightful surroundings and garden. April 2010.
  16. Very clean, tidy and spacious. Feb 2010.
