  7. I cannot fault The Old Pumphouse, it was spotless and comfortable, in fact it was the best accommodation that we have ever stayed in. It was ideally situated in a quiet and rural location but with the town of Rothbury only five minutes away. There was so much do see and do without having to drive too far. Aug 2011.

  11. The Pumphouse offered a great location with stunning views and in a comfortable, newly renovated setting. Allan and Fran (the owners) were there to welcome us, and gave us an introduction to the property and the furnishings, and with them next door, they were largely available 24/7 should we have required their help. Being able to bring our dog was a real bonus too, we felt safe with letting him into their huge garden and knowing that he wouldn’t go too far. Rothbury is a lovely, peaceful town - the Pumphouse is within walking distance, and offers plenty of eateries and basics required for a fantastic base point. We will definitely book to visit the Pumphouse again in the near future..... Thank you. Sept 2010.
