Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Beautiful cottage cleaned and maintained to an exceptional standard. The ideal get away from it all hoiday accommodation. June 2012.
  2. Superb holiday location if you appreciate peace, quite and tranquility. Nov 2011.
  3. Beautiful cottage, equipped with everything you could think of. Our 5th visit so we know our way around the area now. The housekeeper and handy man live 200 yards away and are on call 24/7 if you have a problem. I would say the cottage wasn’t suitable for very young children, as there are ponds and ditches surrounding the garden, which they could get out of, and the stairs are very steep. Fantastic for dogs as you have the entire farm to walk on, as well as the garden. And like many places, dogs are not allowed upstairs, yet there is a downstairs en-suite bedroom so you can sleep downstairs with your dog if you prefer. Quiet a few hidden gems like the original bread oven tucked away in the kitchen. Oct 2011.
  4. Comfortable house with an historic touch. Oct 2011.
  5. We enjoyed the quiet position of the cottage and the garden. July 2010.
  6. Very clean and homely. Fantastic location. Value for money. July 2010.
  7. This house ticks all the boxes for us. The log fire is brilliant and the support from the owners second to none. It was a brilliant holiday and we look forward to going back. It has become our second home. April 2010.
  8. A very comfortable spacious property with excellent facilities, a proper home from home! March 2010.
  9. This is a fabulous property, clean and comfortable and best of all, very warm! We arrived in a blizzard and the cottage was surrounded in snow, but the welcome was as warm as the house. This cottage is a real ’home from home’, really well equipped and very comfortable. Probably one of the nicest cottages I have stayed in. Jan 2010.
  10. The style of house was to our taste - not a straight line or a right angle in sight, marvellous! Dec 2009.
  11. Very clean and well equipped. Warm welcome from the owners. Fantastic cottage over 400 years old. Sept 2009.
  12. Owners could not be more accommodating. We had a disabled person in the party- the owner put a bed downstairs- their suggestion even though we knew what we had booked- we wanted the true Suffolk experience of a thatched cottage and this made it perfect. June 2009.
  13. Full of character, peaceful and feels just so like home. Wonderful place to stay. June 2009.
  14. Liked that property was secluded but close to main roads and towns and a good base for exploring in and around Diss and Bury St Edmunds. Liked that we could use the fields behind the property for walking. July 2009.
  15. The peace and tranquility at the cottage and surroundings is fantastic. June 2008.
  16. This is our fourth holiday at this cottage and we have booked again for June. The cottage is delightful, warm and comfortable. A real home from home. The owners are welcoming without being intrusive and as it was Christmas week they supplied decorations which were lovely. Dec 2008.
  17. The Old House, Potash Farm was beautiful. The owner made us very welcome. The information leaflet the owners provided prior to the holiday was a great help. The dog also loved all the walks. Excellent property in a lovely location. Dec 2007.
  18. Super cottage had everything we needed. We will definately be returning soon. April 2007.
  19. Very peaceful. April 2006.
