Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A very well furnished and renovated property making great use of the original features. Warm, cosy and well equipped. The real fire is great, and the garden, although not large, is very dog friendly with extra fencing for security. A highly recommended property, one we hope to be returning to some time. Oct 2012.
  2. Cosy, well equipped cottage. Enclosed garden which is suitable for people with dogs. Nice pub opposite cottage. Need to be fairly mobile as the living accommodation is on the first floor and bedrooms on the ground floor. We would definitely use this cottage again. June 2012.
  3. Lovely accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. We were extremely lucky with the weather. Our three greyhounds also had a lovely time, enclosed garden wonderful! Local pubs very good, especially the Churchill and Ebrington Arms. May 2012.
  4. Perfect, just perfect. May 2012.
  5. Highly recommend a holiday in the The Old Chapel, Paxford. The accommodation is absolutely lovely, with complimentary Wifi Access to boot. We were fortunate to be there recently with the extremely nice weather in March and made good use of the outdoor seating and table. Perfect for taking a puppy, with a good sized enclosed garden and shrubs for him to root around in! The location is great, with the Churchill Arms just over the road (recommend you book a table as it gets busy) and easy access to Chipping Campden and surrounding towns. March 2012.
  6. The property is beautifully situated and we particularly appreciate the wonderful walks available from the door - no car needed. Feb 2012.
  7. The property was very comfortable and well equipped with the bonus of an excellent pub restaurant a short walk away. Dec 2011.
  8. The Old Chapel is very quaint. Just the right size for 4 and with ample heating on a cold day. Garden is a good size and completely enclosed which is a bonus if you have a dog with you. Being welcomed with tea, sugar and milk AND a chocolate cake was a lovely surprise. There are walks galore close by. The pub nearby is more of a restaurant. The food is very good albeit small portions and disappointingly is not open all day! Nov 2011.
  9. Found the cottage was fine, warm and cosy, especially when log fire was on. Directions to the cottage should be included from Worcester and A44. Nov 2011.
  10. Really beautiful area, very comfortable cottage. Lovely extra touches like - fresh flowers, milk and yummy cake on arrival. Great pub on doorstep with very pricey food but worth it for a treat. Beautiful furnishings and a special place to stay. Excellent country walks on the doorstep and lovely villages to explore. Ideal base for touring the Cotswolds. Oct 2011.
  11. We had a brilliant long weekend in the old chapel. The fire was ready to be lit when we arrived and a cake on the table. What more could you ask for. The old chapel was very clean, inviting and great for the dog too. Oct 2011.
  12. Open plan first floor living accommodation ensures good views over the countryside. A short walk (25m) to an excellent pub/restaurant. Would go back again. July 2011.
  13. Very comfortable with good quality soft furnishings, and in a lovely quiet spot. Village very central for the North Cotswolds. Would definitely book again sometime. June 2011.
  14. The cottage is idyllic in both location & accommodation - very quiet at night as well as the day time. Plenty of walks from the door and an abundance of choice for places to eat most of which are dog friendly. Highly recommend the Great Western at Blockley, all home cooked food and one of the best eateries we have visited. May 2011.
  15. Comfortable and cosy. We would have preferred to have had the electric woodburner, as stated in the brochure rather than the open fire. We did not meet the owner or caretaker during the week. Oct 2010.
  16. The pictures of the Old Chapel on the website really don’t do it justice. It was fantastic and was advertised with a wood burning stove but actually had a log fire with free logs which was a brilliant bonus. We’ll definitely stay here again. Flowers, milk, cake and tea bags are all lovely touches. Oct 2010.
  17. Very cosy and welcoming, lots of space, love the 2 floors , great views, good communication leading up to staying in the property, great welcome pack. Oct 2010.
  18. It was a tranquil setting with a ideal base for the cotswolds! Lovely dog walks and a good pub nearby. Sept 2010.
  19. Loved being in this cottage, in the middle of village but lovely and quiet, also great place for dogs. April 2010.
  20. It was clean and cosy with high quality furnishings. It felt very homely with additional touches. Sometimes there can be a feeling that the furniture and contents are second-best but here I felt that real love and attention had been put into the interior - a sense of real respect for the person on holiday. April 2010.
