Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Well located for visiting the surrounding area & attractions. The local pub had a good, friendly atmosphere, with something for everyone on the menu. Take your walking boots and get out on the South Downs (Beachy Head, The Seven Sisters, The South Downs Coastal path are all there, among much more, for you to explore). Oct 2012.
  2. We thoroughly enjoyed our winter break at this property. The cottage is warm and cosy as well as being elegant and chintz-free. It is well-furnished and equipped with the owners having an eye for detail and an appreciation of what makes a very comfortable and relaxing holiday cottage. Downstairs comprises the dining and sitting areas with two sofas and a separate kitchen while upstairs there is a double bedroom with king-sized bed and a bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The bedlinen and towels are high quality as are the soaps and gels supplied in the bathroom. The kitchen had all the utensils, crockery and cutlery we needed although our self-catering is generally quite straightforward. The friendly owner provided a very generous welcome pack and offered to assist with any queries and then we were left to enjoy the privacy of the property which suited us very well. There are also a great many useful information leaflets on places to visit plus walking and cycling routes which we appreciated. The village pub, hotel and shop are within walking distance and there is a path beside the road but we would still recommend taking a torch, especially in the darker months. We would not hesitate to return to this lovely cottage in such a beautiful area of the country. Dec 2011.
  3. The cottage is a real little nook you get instantly hooked on. It is a home from home, beautifully decorated, well fitted, very cosy. A charming place in the countryside...the place to be if you like the kind of features that make a country house so romantic: pitch pine furniture, checked fabric, big soft sofas, a fireplace, crisp cotton duvet that makes you think you are on a white fluffy cloud, tongue-and-groove panelled bedroom and bathroom painted in a light blue colour that reminds you of the nearby seaside. All the little attentions from the owners (bikes, vegetables from the garden, food basket on arrival date) just made the place that little bit extra special. Thanks for everything! Aug 2011.
