1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description


This end-terraced, mews cottage, ideal holiday accommodation for families, lies on the edge of Kendal in a peaceful part of the town, the southern gateway to the Lake District. This is an ideal location for the amenities of this historic market town near the Lake District National Park. Tea rooms, museums, the Brewery Arts Centre, a climbing wall, specialist shops, a golf course and riverside walks are nearby. A leisure centre with swimming pool is a few minutes’ walk away. The town hosts beer, mountain and music festivals and other cultural events during the year. Many historic houses are a short drive. There are lots of attractions right on your doorstep including Wordsworth’s former home at Grasmere, Ambleside, the World of Beatrix Potter exhibition in Bowness, Lake Windermere and Sedbergh (in the Yorkshire Dales National Park). Other great days out in the local area include the Lakes Aquarium at Ulverston and the South Lakes Wild Animal Park at Dalton-in-Furness. The historic Levens Hall and Gardens with its beautiful walks and amazing topiary is also close by. The area is also a haven for walkers with an abundance of great walking tracks and trails in the local area. Golf nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

  1. Lovely little cottage perfect for short stroll into Kendal. Excellent play park for kids of all ages just along the river. On road parking can get busy if you have a large vehicle that doesn’t fit on the drive (eg. long transit van), but is free. Oct 2012.
