1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

Pleasantly situated in the picturesque village of Portree, this lovely property forms part of a stone built former mill. Stylishly presented and very comfortable, The Malt House is in the perfect location for a holiday touring this wonderful island and within easy reach of the west coast mainland and Inverness, the Highland capital. Fabulous area for climbing, fishing, mountain biking and sea trips. The many attractions include ancient castles and brochs, wonderful restaurants and craft shops. There is an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna to enjoy. Lots to see and do for all ages. Shops and pubs 200 yards.

Ground floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk with additional double futon. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen.

Electric woodburner in living room included. NSH, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD and small library. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Small garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car). No smoking. NB: Sloping bank in garden.

  6. The Malt House is in just about the perfect location in Portree. It’s in a quiet cul-de-sac, no passing traffic, has ample parking yet is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The property itself is in ’upside down’ mode with the two bedrooms downstairs and the living quarters upstairs giving an added interest to the stay. There is a wide choice of restaurants one of the best values being the Isle Inn and we also enjoyed the Indian restaurant (although it doesn’t take credit/debit cards). There is a smallish Co-Op supermarket right in the middle of town with a much larger one on the outskirts. Excursionwise we would recommend the walk on the Old Man of Storr and the walk to the Neist Point lighthouse. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property or indeed returning to it. It was very quiet and despite being semi-detached we heard absolutely no noise from the neighbours due to the thick stone walls.   17. The house was so comfortable, we can’t rate it high enough. It is better than home from home. It was in the perfect location with fabulous views and beautiful walks. Fully equipped kitchen. No one could possibly be disappointed with this house. Very clean and in excellent condition. The very welcome little touches i.e. wine, fruit etc and lovely owners and everything mentioned above made this an amazing holiday. P.S. we had excellent weather the whole week too!!! Nov 2009.
