| Ref: 29750
Grade 4 Star rating

Higher Laity Farm is set in a peaceful rural location, on a working dairy and cattle farm. The three barns (refs 29750, 29751 and 29752) have been renovated to a very good standard and are managed by the owners. It is ideally situated to take advantage of both the spectacular rugged north coast being just a few minutes’ drive from the popular surfing beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan. Porthowan is a delightful cove, famous for its bar on the beach which provides good food and a regular music entertainment programme, popular with locals and surfers alike. For those wishing to explore on foot or cycling, the Mineral Tramways Coastal Path runs from North Portreath on the north coast to Devoran on the south coast, providing spectacular scenery. Cornwall’s heritage can be seen, with old engine houses dotted around the landscape and there is abundance of wildlife, including jackdaws, birds of prey, and cormorants. At sea, dolphins, basking sharks, seals and even whales can be seen. Just a few minutes’ drive away, is Tehiddy Country Park, a tranquil 250-acre site with woodlands, lakes, cycle trails, nature paths and the impressive golf course. Nearby Portreath offers a good selection of local shops amenities, as well as a great sandy family-friendly beach and amazing coastal walks. The South Coastal Path leads on to Godrevy lighthouse and Gwithian beach, then it continues down to the wide expanse of sand dunes and Hayle Estuary. Take the scenic coastal train from nearby St Erth in to St Ives with its picturesque harbour and art galleries, including the Tate Modern and Barbara Hepworth Museum. The area is buzzing with restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries. The proximity of Higher Laity Farm to the A30 makes it an ideal base to explore the many sides of Cornwall. It is just 30 minutes to the busy port and town of Falmouth, home of the National Maritime Museum and wonderful coves and beaches.
