Superbly located surrounded by fields approached via a tree-lined drive in the grounds of the owners home, with access to 80 acres of woodland trust. Comfortably furnished with a private garden. Historic church nearby, and many NT homes and gardens, within easy reach including Nymans, Box Hill, Wakehurst and Leonardslee. Dorking, and Lingfield racecourse 30 minutes drive, London 45 minutes’ by train, Brighton is just over an hour. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 500 yards.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

  4. Although close to Gatwick airport, it was amazingly quiet. Deer visited the field to the rear of the cottage and the paddock to the front, as did rabbits. Lots of National Trust properties in the vicinity. Visit Dorking for antiques shops. Aug 2011.
  5. We absolutely loved it at this cottage!! 100%. It had amazing views right across land and fields and we also had the benefit of being so close to Gatwick airport which would probably to excellent for someone coming from that airport to stay here. We enjoyed seeing planes taking off and coming in of a night time was so light up. It was so quiet even tho near an airport. We had days out in London as it was so close there too. It was a great bonus being able to take our dog and he loved the walks along the fields. We saw dear and rabbits every morning and evening! was lovely will be back without a doubt. If going to London and you dont want to drive into the city, you can either get a train from Horely station and park up or get one from Hampton court station at park up there. Only takes 20 mins from Hampton court and you can visit the Hampton court palace there also :) AAAAAAA star. Aug 2011.
  6. The location,cottage and wildlife are ideal for a relaxing holiday. Several places nearby for days out including National Trust properties, The Bluebell Railway and nearby towns. Tesco Extra at Gatwick close-by for food. This was our third visit in 3-years so we must like it. Don’t forget to take bird seed and some nuts for the squirrels. Enjoy. July 2011.

  9. Really great break. The lodge was perfect - lovely location, with private garden. Wildlife that could be seen from house included deer, rabbits and even an owl! Great weather during the week booked. The local pub (The Fox Revived) was friendly and the food excellent. Crawely was about 10 minutes drive away. Great for shopping and it has a great sports centre (K2). Brighton about 40 minutes drive away - well worth a visit - great break. March 2011.

  14. Liked the rural location and distance from the owners’ house. Also that we did not feel overly noticed by them. This was the first self catering place we have been to that was described on the website as having an enclosed garden, that actually did have a properly enclosed garden. We have been to very many places that claimed such that were not enclosed at all! Sept 2010.

  18. The property is a small self contained bungalow with it’s own garden, it is just right for two poeople (and a dog). It is reasonably well equipped and is in a beautiful rural location despite being close to Gatwick Airport. Nov 2009.
