Property Description

The Granary provides a very good standard of accommodation in the peaceful village of Aisby. Situated at the end of a no through road, standing detached with its own enclosed walled garden, peace and tranquillity prevail. Numerous walks and cycle routes are close at hand and a lovely country pub which serves food and fine ales is only a 15 minute stroll away. Historic castles, war museums, Stamford, Newark and Lincoln, and numerous golf courses nearby.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with French doors, beams and wooden floor. Kitchen with beams and stone floor. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. No smoking. Friday to Friday.

  10. This cottage was very well converted with a modern but homely feel. It was well stocked and the owners were very friendly, leaving a bottle of wine, biscuits and flowers as a welcome. The village is very rural and quiet, but there is a pub within walking distance over the fields. Lots of walking in the area. March 2012.

  14. Quietly situated towards the end of a lane, little traffic or noice except for the odd horse, dog and chickens which kept us amused. Excellent for walking or cycling and the house is has character as well as modern fearures, is warm and comfortable and our hosts couldn’t have been kinder. Oct 2011.
  15. On arrival at The Granary, as arranged, our hosts, Guy and Hilary, allowed us a little time to settle in before coming down to introduce themselves. This warm and friendly start to our stay set the tone for our week ahead. The Granary itself surpassed our expectations. It is modern in its’ styling and has been well equipped and tastefully furnished throughout. The position as practically the last building at the end of the village main road, ensures that the loudest passing traffic has four legs and metal shoes! The cottage was a perfect base from which to explore the local area, and we would recommend it to prospective guests without hesitation. We will definitely book again in the future. Aug 2011.

Very friendly hosts who made wonderful suggestions where to go, especially our kids (3 and 10) enjoyed the rural environment (nuts about the chickens and the ’quest’ for eggs), excellent bridle- and footpaths for the dog, very well-equipped and cosy cottage also for rainy days (nice games), lovely and family-friendly pub nearby - we can definitely recommend this accommodation!
