  7. The property owner provided a very welcoming, and unexpected, afternoon tea immediately on our arrival. Throughout our stay they were very helpful in answering our questions and providing information on the area. We always wanted to stay in a thatched cottage, and Garden Cottage more than met our expectations. Set at the end of a very quiet lane with wonderful views, and on the edge of the village which has a nice pub. Very well placed for visiting Longleat which was only 5 minutes away by car; within walking distance through the fields. Easy driving distance to Bath and Salisbury. Aug 2011.
  8. The cottage was lovely, a quaint thatched cottage. There was everything there that we needed with a lovely welcome form the owners. The situation of the cottage was perfect with gorgeous views across the valley. The walk up to Heavens Gate was really worth the effort with stunning views across Longleat House and grounds. Will recommend this cottage to family and friends. June 2011.
  9. This cottage is wonderful, in a lovely location with lots of walks from the doorstep and Longleat just 5min away. The cottage is everything you would expect of a 17th Century thatched cottage. March 2011.
  10. Beautiful cottage, warm welcome from owner, very comfortable and clean, an absolute pleasure. Feb 2011.
  11. Lovely cottage, very comfortable and cosy with everything we needed. The photographs do not do it full justice. Lovely walks from the door, the one to Heavens Gate gave us a spectacular sunset especially with the light bouncing around the sculpture.Fabulous holiday with plenty of places to go despite the weather! Aug 2010.
  12. A cosy cottage, very homely. Aug 2010.
  13. Beautiful quaint cottage with thatched roof and fabulous views. Aug 2010.
  14. Location. Right on the edge of Longleat. July 2010.
  15. It was homely and had a personal feel to it without being over bearing. March 2010.
  16. Was the most lovely cottage in a fantastic location, we even walked to Longleat one day. The view from our bedroom over rolling countryside and cows wandering in the valley was just perfect. June 2009.
  17. An ideal base for visiting Longleat Estate and surrounding areas - a mid point for visiting Bath and Salisbury April 2009.
  18. Garden Cottage was the perfect break for my birthday. The owners were lovely and welcomed us with a Cream Tea. We really got the country feel looking out at the unspoilt views and relaxing in the traditional cottage. It was such a reasonable price, we all wished we were there for longer than a weekend. Feb 2009.
  19. The detail that the owners had put into your stay- they provided DVD’s, tourist info and even a quiz for young children. Aug 2009.
  20. The location of Garden Cottage is perfect. The only traffic to pass our front door was the occasional walker. I feel like keeping my enthusiasm of this little jewel to myself because I would love to go again, and would be bitterly disappointed to find it completely booked up! All mod cons provided and the decor/furnishings are in keeping with this quaint cottage! It’s a cosy, homely and truly relaxing place to be! Perfect for family and adult only groups! Our little toddler loved romping through the "Gruffalo-esqe" forest at the back of the cottage. A wonderful winter or summer retreat. We awoke each morning to a beautiful winter wonderland with clear blue skies and crisp, sparkly, frosty landscape. The safari park was closed when we went there but can’t wait to go back to see it. Why stay at center parcs when you can stay in Garden Cottage! Dec 2008.
