The accommodation is a characterful converted stone and slate barn conversion set in the grounds of the owners beautiful Georgian country house, Cae Gwyn. Consisting of The Forge (ref 29779, sleeping 2) on the ground floor and The Creamery (ref 29780, sleeping 4) on the first floor and available as 2 separate units or one large house (through an interconnecting stairway). Located uniquely in the Vale of Clwyd (AONB), with magnificent views into the vale and to Snowdonia National Park beyond. Easily reached via the A55 and central to so many of the things that North Wales and Cheshire have to offer, including the North Wales coast with its fine sandy beaches; lovely Anglesey with Beaumaris Castle and its sparkling waters; Snowdonia National Park; the ancient walled City of Chester with its black and white shopping rows, racecourse and zoo (and even the UK’s largest designer shopping outlet!). Consisting of attractive buildings set in a stable courtyard, the accommodation has been restored with a contemporary twist, ensuring both traditional character and modern comfort. Enjoy the kitchen with fold back windows letting the rural scene pour in, exposed beams and quality fittings throughout. The owners have travelled extensively and so have made sure you’ll sleep wonderfully in the pure latex king size bed. Renowned walking is available from the doorstep, with Offa’s Dyke national trail passing close by – and even a palaeolithic cave is just a short amble from the accommodation. On an evening wander over to the orchard with its BBQ area set aside just for you - often drenched in spectacular afternoon sunlight. The local pub is just 350 yards away offering a la carte and set menus, located across the farmer’s field. Marvellous bridle paths for horse riding (livery is available on-site at a reasonable cost), fishing, golf, multi-level mountain bike trails – all are on hand, making this an outstanding location for active holidaymakers (the owners are very happy to help you plan an adventurous break). Or just relax and enjoy an idyllic break from the bustle of everyday life. Take the option to order on-line and have groceries delivered directly to the accommodation, or the owners can arrange a special ‘foodie’ pack featuring the best from award winning local butchers and farm shops. There is a large wardrobe with snug area to accommodate a travel cot if staying with an infant. Shop 2 miles, pub serving food 350 yards.
