Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. If you like to be in the middle of no where then this is the ideal place no mobile signal no telephone no traffic no street lights no neighbours just you and nature. Aug 2012.
  2. The cottage was very comfortable, but there was a shortage of cutlery & china bearing in mind that there is accommodation for eight people. Oct 2011.
  3. The setting of this property is stunning - it is in the middle of nowhere but because of the canal and the towside path there was always plenty of passing visitors so did not feel remote. The walks from the door were lovely. July 2011.
  4. Newly refurbished, very comfortable. Well situated. Oct 2010.
  5. Living space downstairs was good, large dining table, enough sofas and nice kitchen. Bedrooms all well furnished. Lovely location. Oct 2010.
  6. Plenty of space in all areas. Sept 2010.
  7. Spacious and interesting. May 2010.
  8. The property was in a beautiful location in the middle of nowhere but central for visiting Alton Towers and other attractions. April 2010.
  9. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is situated in a very pretty place, by the canal and steam railway. There are lots of walks directly outside of the cottage. Jan 2010.
  10. Very warm and clean. Jan 2010.
  11. All rooms were modern. Bedrooms and bathrooms had all new furniture. Kitchen large. Oct 2009.
  12. The location of the property was perfect, between the canal and the steam train with plenty of walks from the door. Sept 2009.
  13. The architecture of the old mill is beautiful. May 2009.
  14. We booked the cottage for my Dad’s 60th birthday as a complete surprise and on arrival, we were all very impressed with the location, facilities and cleanliness. The setting of the canal with lock and the steam railway couldn’t have been better. The pub was within a 10 - 15 minute walk along a pleasant path. The accommodation was pet friendly and homely. Overall we all had an excellent stay (including our cat) with plenty of activities to occupy us for the weekend. March 2009.
  15. The property was very spacious & in good condition. We has a lovely weekend there and the location was idyllic with lots of walks directly from the cottage & we never tired of watching the steam trains & canal boats. My only comments would be that there was a broken blind in the ground floor bedroom and the games room is a bit overstated as there is only a child’s pool table - nothing else. July 2009.
  16. The setting of the Flint Mill could not have been better! In the middle of a picture postcard, the canal and a lock just at the back of the property and an amazing steam railway at the front! We all loved helping the boat people with the lock and my husband never tired of running out side to see the steam train. We had quite wet weather but if drier there are walks galore from the front door. Aug 2008.
  17. Excellent quiet location by canal and preserved railway. Young kids could ride bikes about safely and dog loved it besides when she fell in canal. Aug 2009.
