Property Description

Tan Y Dderwen (Under The Oak, ref OZV), Beudy Bach (Little Cowshed, ref OZW) and Gwel-Y-Llyn (Lake View, ref OZX) are beautiful conversions of traditional Welsh long barns whilst The Farmhouse, (ref OYV) is a bespoke, extremely spacious holiday property furnished to the highest of standards.
Located in a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, these wonderful family holiday properties boast character and all the comforts for the perfect countryside holiday.
Close to the borders of both mid and south Wales, the properties provide perfect accommodation ideally placed for exploring the dramatic Ceredigion coastline where bottlenose dolphins are often seen.
The picturesque fishing town of Aberaeron is only six miles away with shops and its large harbour encased by pastel-shaded Georgian houses. A short drive inland leads to the rural and traditional towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, where the Welsh language is mostly used by the locals. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture. The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite. A perfect opportunity to discover the real Wales. Shops 3 miles, pub in village.

Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Very spacious and comfortable property with great views, well-equipped rooms with comfortable beds and two large lounges ideal for separate pursuits. Very good kitchen with excellent cooking facilities and plenty to see and do round about the area. Sept 2012.
  2. After showing friends pictures of our stay at this house at least three families have requested the details for their future holidays. May 2012.
  3. If you want peace and quiet this is the definitely the place to go. The property has been restored sympathetically yet still has all the mod cons that you would expect. There was enough room for 10 of us without it feeling crowded and the children loved the fact that there were so many nooks and crannies to hide in. July 2011.
  4. This is an excellent property in a superb location. IT would be difficult without a car I imagine. A book about the house - where to put rubbish etc, would be useful but that is a minor niggle in an otherwise beautifully resourced and maintained house. April 2011.
  5. This was a really super farm house - the words IT WAS HUGE don’t do it justice! It is advertised as sleeping ten but there would be enough room to sleep 20+ if the owners would aggree - massive couches, two living rooms. The kitchen and dining room, bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate! We spent the first evening just finding out way around the place - A*. March 2011.
  6. Excellent specification lots of room and everything you might need was available. Sept 2010.
  7. What an amazing place idyllic and fabulous to stay in with very high specification and the owners were really nice. Aug 2010.
  8. We thought the accommodation was really first class. Places like this never look as good in real life, as in the photo. But FYNNONMEREDYDD FARMHOUSE was even better than the photos! Well kitted out and beautifully decorated/designed...and loads of space. Felt like someone had done the place as their own home, not as somewhere just to make money. July 2010.
  9. Superb. April 2010.
  10. The house was a good size and it was everything we wanted and more from a self catering accommodation. Feb 2010.
  11. It was all brand new and very clean. Dec 2009.
  12. Fantastic property modern and well equipped a credit to its owners. Oct 2009.
  13. Excellent property, clean, well furnished and very spacious. Oct 2009.
  14. Spacious and very well furnished; kitchen with all facilities. Oct 2009.
  15. Beautiful location, presented to a very high standard. July 2009.
