Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. Situated in the grounds of the family working farm, they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen with beams. 2 steps to 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Open fire in living room included. Oil central heating included. Cot. High chair. Freeview TV. Stereo/CD. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Wi-fi. Small enclosed garden. Parking (2 cars).

  1. A beautifully equipped barn conversion. All mod cons but with rustic charm. Idyllic setting. The best dog friendly accommodation we have ever stayed in. The owners were lovely and very helpful but left you to get on with your stay. Log fire laid ready on our arrival although we had fab weather and didnt need it! we will definately return! 10/10!   4. Excellent property with plenty of space in the cottage. Interesting surroundings with farm location but village community on the doorstep. Walks from the door and easy access to the South Downs Way and many places of interest to visit. Being High Season meant that the cost was rather high but well worth the money this time. Aug 2011.
  5. A converted farm building with lots of character - exposed beams, open fire etc. Large lounge/diner and a feeling of space throughout. Quiet location with views over countryside. Ideal for dogs as plenty of walks on the doorstep. Only a few hundred yards from village shop and excellent pub. Dec 2010.

  11. It was spacious, had everything you could possibly want during your stay there. It was lovely and clean and the owners were approachable, friendly with information if you wanted it. The village store was very good, with all the produce you would expect but with added extras such as chutneys and pickles etc made locally. The staff were friendly, with the owners of The Dairy working in there on certain days too. May 2010.

  14. A very well equipped and clean property. Both myself, my partner and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our break in January and have already re-booked for March. Lovely surroundings and friendly people. Cosy nights in front of the real fire after a long country walk were very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to have a quiet break with their pet away from all the hustle bustle. Jan 2009.
  15. We were so pleased with every aspect of our accommodation. We have spent many holidays at self-catering units and would certainly rate this as one of the best. The owner was a charming man and could not have been more helpful and courteous. We took the break at short notice to be near our son who had had an accident which involved a stay in hospital and an operation on his injuries. Mr Bray and his family were so kind we really felt we were among friends which helped us so much. Thanks to you all. April 2008.

The property was of a high standard, and we were a bit worried about taking the dogs in the cottage, but there was all the cleaning equipment you would have at home and more, all you had to take was yourselves and food, everything was in the cottage that you would need.
