Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely cosy cottage for dog lovers. Very well equipped and like a home from home. Sept 2012.
  2. Lovely cottage and very friendly, helpful owners. Extremely peaceful and relaxing location. Perfect base for exploring the lakes, mountains and beaches. Very dog friendly, especially the pubs, cafes and beaches. You could walk your dogs from the front door. Would recommend it. July 2012.
  3. Very well equipped. Nice change to have all towels included in the price. April 2012.
  4. The cottage was really lovely and perfectly pitched for walkers and dog-owners. The owners were very friendly and the morning duck parade was absolutely straight out of Jemima Puddle-Duck. April 2012.
  5. A brilliant location and property to explore the undeveloped side of the lake district. Ideal for eskdale, wastwater, the passes over to coniston etc. The beach at Seascale is beautifully gold and sandy too. We had a truly relaxed time, walking in good weather whilst the rest of England suffered floods! April 2012.
  6. The views from the cottage were stunning. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. The owners were welcoming. April 2012.
  7. Very comfortable cottage to stay in for a week. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location with easy access to Wasdale, Ennerdale and Eskdale. Also visited St Bees as the weather was excellent - worth a visit for the lovely beach and coastal walk. 10 minute walk into Gosforth village along a busy road (with no footpath - need a torch if late at night)to the Globe Inn and the Lion and Lamb Inn. We had good evening meals in both and they welcome dogs. Recommend the bakery shop with delicious home made pies. March 2012.
  8. Very welcoming owners, quiet rural setting, just the break we all needed. Wonderfully cosy once the fire was lit in the evenings, even though it was December. Good facilities in local village and wonderful scenery in the area - don’t miss a trip to Wast Water and Wasdale Head. Nov 2011.
  9. This is a perfect location if you want to be near the uncommercialised area of the Lakes, beautiful place, perfect location only a few miles from the lovely beach of Seascale and a few miles the other way to Waswater...what more could you want. Sept 2011.
  10. The cottage was excellent, very quiet and comfortable. The area of the west Lake District is very good and the people friendly. If visiting this area with pets we found most places very pet friendly. Recommend visiting the Globe Inn in Gosforth for excellent meals and it’s friendly atmosphere. July 2011.
  11. Had a wonderful week, the cottage was lovely and the owners were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The kids loved the dog, the ducks, cows and the dove on the cottage grounds. Wastwater at Wasdale was stunning and well worth a visit. The Stanley Falls waterfall is a must, the uphill hike to get to it is hard but certainly worth it it’s amazing. The ravenglass train ride is beautiful. I cannot say anything negative. The cottage is in a quiet location 5 minutes from Gosforth which has a couple of pubs and a shop. It is located beautifully in the countryside with hillsides surrounding it yet everywhere is easily accessible. No more than an hours drive for all the beautiful attractions and walks. We would love to come again. A truly wonderful holiday. Thanks to the owners for everything. June 2011.
  12. Property was clean and comfortable, location excellent, great for nature lovers - saw a woodpecker, a regular visitor at the feeding station in the garden! Owners friendly and helpful without being intrusive, lovely old collie, again very friendly and the ducks were a delight with their own duck pond. Only down point the weather wasnt great but overall a good holiday. May 2011.
  13. Ideally situated for the western lakes & coast. A stone courtyard cottage just a few hundred yards to the village of Gosforth. A visit to the village bakery is a must, superb pies. April 2011.
  14. Being next to Gosforth is a perfect location. You are only a short drive away from Scaffell Pike, Wastwater, Ennerdale and numerous other places which are less touristy than places such as Windermere. In Gosforth you have numerous pubs which serve good food and a shop / cafe, which again caters for all the essentials. The property was well positioned and well equipped. I was wary about having a property attached to a farm, but the owners left us alone to enjoy our holiday, and it was actually great having the farm and associated animals surrounding us. The open fire was a great added bonus. Highly recommend to all those that are looking for a good property away slightly from the main tourist / busy areas. April 2011.
  15. The property was very well equipped with everything you needed. July 2010.
  16. Large, comfortable accommodation. No neighbours. No streetlights. July 2010.
  17. The accommodation and facilities were more and better than we were expecting. There was nothing that we required that wasn’t already there. It wasn’t just a holiday let, it felt like a home. We found cling film, a caffitiere, dishwasher tablets and loads more we didn’t expect to be provided - it was brilliant. June 2010.
  18. Excellent facilities, very adequately and comfortably furnished. Quiet location and warm hospitality. May 2010.
  19. We found the property to be better than described on the website. We were expecting a semi-detached cottage when in fact it was a semi, but part of a farm building with a duck pond, dove house and a field for the dog to run around in. April 2010.
  20. Location very good, accommodation was very clean and had all we required, we had lots of coal for the fire which we needed due to the bad weather. March 2010.
