Well-maintained, the holiday cottage has a superb conservatory taking full advantage of the views and is ideally situated for a leisurely stroll down to the pubs and riverside park in the pretty village - or for a short drive to the wonderful coastline a mere 7 miles away. Other attractions and activities in the area include Hook Lighthouse, Tintern Abbey, horse riding, golf and fishing. Shop and pubs 660 yards, restaurant 1.5 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room with tiled floor. Dining room/kitchen with tiled floor. Conservatory. 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with shared en-suite shower room (double cubicle) and toilet, 1 single. Bathroom with toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating and electricity by meter reading. Bed linen and towels included. Video. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Enclosed lawned and gravelled garden with patio and furniture. Ample parking.

  2. The Cottage is perfectly located for those wishing a very quiet, secluded holiday. There is a splendid view from the rear of the garden showing beautiful rolling countryside. The garden is completely enclosed, perfect for children or dogs and has a picnic bench. Although generally the property’s facilities were satisfactory, it would benefit from having a spare set of linen and towels to hand and some garden furniture for relaxation. Additional costs for electricity and oil-fired heating could mount up considerably, depending on use and temperatures. Local amenities are fairly limited at the nearby tiny village of Foulkesmill which has a small shop/post office and two pubs that open in the evening. Trips to stock up on groceries at the nearest reasonably-sized supermarket or to eat out require a minimum 15 km drive. This property is not close to the beach although there are some exceptional ones in the area such as Duncannon and Baginbun Bay, over 25 km away and further afield at Rosslare. May 2011.
  3. The cottage was ideal for our family holiday, loads to do in the area and the cottage itself was very comfortable and perfect for our family of 5. The children loved playing in the garden which was safe and secure with beautiful views. April 2011.
