This charming holiday property is set in the grounds of the owner’s 15th-century home in a countryside location. With views over Lamarsh Church, it is right on the border of Suffolk and Essex, deep in the Stour Valley, otherwise known as Constable Country. A short drive away are Sudbury, Clare, Lavenham, Bures and Long Melford. The Suffolk Heritage Coastline, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Cambridge and Newmarket are within easy reach. Shops 4 miles, pubs ½ mile.

  9. a beautiful cottage in the perfect surroundings for a relaxing break. If you are walking at night (i.e back from the very decent local pub!!)take a torch (provided in cottage) as there are no street lamps in the village. Owners were very welcoming and very helpful. April 2011.
