Built in the late 19th century, this charming property retains many original period features including ornate cast iron fireplaces, servants’ bells and archways, not to mention the beautiful, original doors and windows. Renowned for its mild climate, St Ives has attracted many artists to the area over the years, including Patrick Heron, Bernard Leach and Barbara Hepworth.
A short walk will take you into the town with its cobbled streets, quaint fishermen’s cottages and picturesque harbour. There are many art galleries including the Tate Gallery, good quality restaurants and a wide variety of shops. There are also many beautiful sandy beaches to choose from, all offering a variety of water sports. There is also a leisure centre and excellent golf course close by, making St Ives an excellent all year round destination. Shop and pubs 600 yards.

  1. This was the second visit to this property and now even better with the en-suite bathrooms. The property is very spacious and well equipped. Plenty of room to spread out with an extra "quiet" room away from the kids! Only short walk to the beach and town. it maybe a bit of a steep road up from the beach/town but helps to work off all the pasties and cream teas!!!! Would love to visit again and again. Aug 2011.

  9. The rooms were more than adequate for our needs although decent pillows would have been an advantage. The kitchen was fabulous and more than adequately stocked for our needs. April 2010.
  10. We liked the large kitchen which was great for all 12 of us to sit around. Also, the lounge is set out in such a way that people can sit in separate areas if they want to. Dec 2009.
  11. The size of all the rooms was excellent. The two seperate sitting rooms was great, the kids could use both rooms for their games consoles, (the only thing I would say, is that it needs another TV, as there is only one and we had to bring our own). Dec 2009.

  14. Spacious and well maintained. The general cleanliness was good with the exception of the carpets, they looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed for a while! July 2009.
  15. Our ages ranged from 2 to 78 and we all had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room to spread about, it felt like home within hours. We all sat around the huge kitchen table for sociable breakfasts, the second lounge was perfect for the children to watch dvd’s in while they waited for us to get ready to go out. The beaches are in walking distance, we parked four cars in the drive, and with the ample shower facilities there were no bathroom queues. We would, and have, recommend this to any big group as an excellent place to stay. May 2008.

  18. Excellent position for beach and town, good access to Treganna hotel, my daughter’s wedding was held there whilst we were on holiday. The cottage was just what we needed for a large family celebration. June 2006.
