Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We loved this cottage! It’s location along the lovely driveway and into the trees surrounding the cottage felt so special every time we arrived back at the cottage. It was a great place to entertain members of our family who came to visit during our stay - including our new born grandson of two weeks! the total lack of toilet paper on arrival was our only complaint - that was very unwelcoming and rather mean we thought! It would have been nice to have been provided with a few more consumables eg kitchen roll, washing up liquid, foil. cling film. as we have had these at other cottages. Aug 2012.
  2. Beautiful cottage with plenty of space. Ideal for a family get-together. Beds were very comfy. Plenty of space for parking. The canal is near at hand for a walk and we found the place handy for Edinburgh and walking in the Pentland Hills. May 2012.
  3. Very comfortable & well presented cottage. lovely location, good base for visiting surrounding areas & connections to Edinburgh (suggest using the park & ride from the airport). A visit to the Bridge Inn is a must, very welcoming, try the pork it’s first class. March 2012.
  4. Very quiet location and ideal for walks and day trips out. Animals on the property which was a lovely interest for the 2 year old with us. Would like basic cleaning materials to be included to be able to clean and tidy as we go, including tea towels. Recycling guide to be included (our holidays always include lots of bottles!). March 2012.
  5. Lovely private cottage in excellent location. Friendly staff and owner. Bus ride into Edinburgh cheap and easy ans about 50 minutes in duration would definitely recommend. A meal at the Bridge Inn is a must, plenty of short - long walks available nearby. Highly recommended. Excellent showers and comfortable beds. March 2012.
  6. A perfect place to stay. Quiet location with short distance to travel for excellent days out. Cottage was well equipped and very warm. The owners were on holiday but they had people on hand at their house who could not have been more hospitable and helpful. I have already suggested this place to several work collegues. Feb 2012.
  7. Lovely comfortable property, access to local walks good. Feb 2012.
  8. Fantastic getaway whether you want to chill out or visit the city - used this as a base whilst visiting Edinburgh to complete the marathon - easy to get into city centre and fantastic surrounding - did not want to leave. May 2011.
  9. The Coach House did not disappoint and was as described in an ideal location to explore Edinburgh. April 2011.
  10. Excellent cottage, well presented, lovely layout, just right. March 2011.
  11. Beautiful surroundings. Very welcoming and friendly owners/housekeeper. Detailed book of how to use all appliances and what to do for entertainment in the surrounding areas including travel details. Feb 2011.
  12. Secluded within the grounds of a grand house in woodland. Pet donkeys and a pet pig in grounds. Very clean and brand new powerful showers. Oct 2010.
  13. Could not fault it. Clean & welcoming with the most amazing power showers. I spent the first 2 hours just saying ’Wow’. It was beyond any expectation we had. I actually thought I’d died & gone to heaven. We wanted peace & tranquility, we got that & more. Would and have recommended the propert to others. Once our next years holiday dates are confirmed we will be booking for next year. Aug 2010.
  14. Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Peaceful and homely. In a lovely country village within easy reach of Edinburgh. The caretaker was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this cottage. Aug 2010.
  15. Very clean and well maintained. Secluded and in beautiful grounds. June 2010.
  16. Very clean. Well appointed. Made up for the disappointment last year in the Lake District. May 2010.
  17. Well appointed. Nicely furnished and some pretty personal touches. May 2010.
  18. It was perfect. The setting in the grounds of Ratho Hall was beautiful and quite secluded with squirrels & rabbits and of course Christopher the Donkey and Lucky the Shetland Pony. The cottage it’s self was lovely with plenty of room. It was spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. Rachel & Graham made us very welcome. We will certainly book again when visiting Edinburgh. April 2010.
  19. The location was excellent, you had everything you needed and more. It was very clean and comfortable, and the log fire was just out of this world. We would recommend it to anyone. It was that nice, we have booked it again for next year. Also the owners where so friendly. March 2010.
  20. Excellent, quiet location within easy access to the city centre by both car and public transport. March 2010.
