With glorious views of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, this stylish, quiet and cosy detached holiday cottage is at the heart of this beautiful area. Situated next to the owner’s home on the edge of the historic village of St. Briavels with its medieval castle, there are numerous walks from the doorstep including Offa’s Dyke and the Wye Valley Walk. Symonds Yat and Tintern Abbey are just a short drive away. Cycling, fishing and canoeing are available locally, while the pretty towns of Monmouth, Chepstow and Ross-on-Wye are within an easy drive. Shop 3½ miles, pub 300 yards.

  1. The Coach house is in an idyllic setting, its a beautiful house with all that you need for a very relaxing holiday. We went with our 5 year old daughter and there was plenty of local fun things to do to keep her happy. Despite the rain we had a lovely time, would recommend the coach house to any one who likes walking and cycling. Very friendly owners also provide lots of information on where to go to eat, walk and days out. A Great Place! June 2012.

  3. The owners of this property were very welcoming, leaving a bottle of wine, milk, home made local cake and fresh flowers as we arrived. They also left a comprehensive set of guides to activities, walks and attractions for us to peruse. The village pub, easily within walking distance, did very good food, with generous portions.   5. The owners made us feel very welcome. They had left a bottle of wine, a slab of fruit cake, teabags, sugar and pats of butter. They seem to have thought of everything that you would want on a self catering holiday, even hot water bottles, and an umbrella by the front door. Overall a very good short break. Oct 2011.

  9. Fabulous cottage with all of the amenities required, we had perfect weather and maybe a sun lounger would have been a nice addition to the garden furniture provided. The location was peaceful and very pretty, there are plenty of good walks from the cottage and close by by car. Goodrich Castle is worth a visit and the Sculpture Trail is also a nice easy walk.   10. The accommodation was excellent - the location was good for local walks and situated in a beautiful village with pubs close by. The attention to detail in the accommodation was excellent - welcome wine and bread was a lovely welcoming touch. The cottage was very comfortable especially the under floor heating and wood burner.
