Property Description

This tastefully converted detached holiday coach house, set in the owner’s grounds, lies in the pretty Cotswold Slad Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated between the town of Stroud and the village of Slad with its famous village pub The Woolpack. For keen walkers there is The Cotswold Way and many beautiful shorter walks around the Five Valleys with the tightly packed villages and surrounding woodland. Painswick, with its individual shops, art gallery and churchyard is only a short drive away. Midway between Regency Cheltenham and Georgian Bath this is an excellent holiday location. Bristol and Gloucester cathedrals make for an interesting outing. Shop 1 mile, pub 1½ miles.

Easy access from road network but remote enough for a country feel. Stroud and Slad both within a mile from the cottage. Glorious surroundings. Owners very respectful of privacy but only too keen to offer help if needed. Truly wonderful week. Sept 2010.
  9. Lovely property, light and airy and very well equipped. Great location, ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. The owners, Abi & Nick were very helpful and made our stay most enjoyable. We would definitely like to stay there again. Make sure you visit the Farmer’s Market in Stroud on Saturday morning - great place to stock up on delicious local produce. Also visit the Woolpack up in Slad village. Excellent beer (according to husband!) and delicious food (according to both of us!)If you are feeling energetic it is a about a one mile walk from the Coachhouse! If you enjoy rural peace, go there!   14. The Coach House was furnished and finished to a really high standard. Sometimes renters put cheap, old fashioned furniture and desperately need to up-date the decor which is why I chose the Coach House because it was totally different to that and in real life lived up to the photos and more.   19. It was better than the website. The lovely scenery and picturesque views, absolutely stunning. It was better than expected, and would definitely like to go some where similar next year.
