  1. This is a stunning property, photos often lie, definitely not in this case. The fixtures and fittings have been carefully selected and are of real quality with real attention to detail. A perfect peaceful English village with, excellent beer and food in the local yet 10 minutes from the centre of York. Can’t recommend this place enough, even the ducks in our duckpond were friendly. June 2012.
  2. Lovely welcoming owner, and cottage in beautiful and quiet location. Lots of complimentary goodies that make it extra special. Exceeded our expectations. Aug 2011.
  3. A character cottage in a quiet village but with a great location to explore York and surrounding district. Sept 2011.
  4. The Coach House was perfect, we did not want to leave, and we had a very warm welcome from the owners. The village itself was lovely and quiet but within easy travelling for York. Aug 2011.
  5. I loved the house and garden and its position so close to York but in the countryside. May 2011.
  6. Beautifully appointed and perfectly converted coach house next to fields and the village pond, and within 5 mins walk of a pub with excellent food . No shops within the village so a car was an advantage although you can walk in 20 mins to the next village. Well located for a Park and Ride to York. April 2011.
  7. Superbly presented and equipped. Very comfortable home from home. Oct 2010.
  8. Very high quality facilities, furniture and equipment. Good parking. Quiet peaceful location. Easy access to York. Oct 2010.
  9. Every thing was perfectly clean and well maintained. The cottage was warm and fitted out to a very high standard. Oct 2010.
  10. Beautifully decorated, high class fixtures and fittings and accessories - home from home! Sept 2010.
  11. This house was decorated to a very high standard and very well equipped. We could not think of anything that was missing. We rated it ***** Aug 2010.
  12. Accommodation was fantastic. The owner had gone to alot of trouble to welcome us and the presentation of the accommodation was like a five star hotel. July 2010.
  13. I was worried at first after having saw the wonderful on-line photo’s of the Coach House that they wouldn’t be representative of the property once we got there. I needn’t have worried. The Coach House was beautifully presented and decorated with style - fresh out of the pages of Period Living or other such magazines. The owner had left us some wonderful treats in the kitchen which we all thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a definite 10! May 2010.
  14. Beautifully furnished and dressed. Every attention to detail, pristine. May 20010.
  15. The cottage was gorgeous in a fabulous setting. The garden was great for our children to play in as it was secure. The finishing touches in the cottage were lovely i.e. the toiletries and the goodies to eat. Definitely reccommend to friends. May 2010.
  16. Very attractively furnished, whilst remaining comfortable and practical. April 2010.
  17. Excellently proportioned throughout and the decor was first class and the house was equipped far in excess of expectation and was far superior to competing properties who seem to favour and more "cheap and cheerful" approach. Another brilliant feature was the secured garden area, brilliant are for kids to run and play safely. The owners were also very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. April 2010.
  18. Very high quality - friendly owner - nice welcome - good location. We would prefer a more private entrance and larger garden but we would absolutely return again. April 2010.
  19. This property exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. A great deal of thought had been put in to what might be needed by visitors, and this was much appreciated. March 2010.
  20. The Coach House was located in a picturesque setting, alongside a village pond. The owner was welcoming, accommodation superb, exactly what we were looking for. Exceeded our expectations in all respects. Feb 2010.
