Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Good Location for visiting Bamburgh, Seahouses, Wooler etc. Sept 2012.
  2. It was a very nice comfortable cottage and really quiet and peaceful. Lots of hot water. There was a washing machine but no tumbler so did not use it. Only basic TV, no freeview - don’t know if it was the remote area made this impossible. June 2012.
  3. Very good location in small village, and comfortable, but equipped on the principle that just enough is enough - four and no more of everything, and some of the doors, for instance, were’t as well set up as they should be. House instructions were on a variety of scraps of papaer, some pinned up to a notice board - could do with being updated and put in one place so as to be easier to find out, for intance, how the hot water worked. One of the latches stuck. June 2011.
  4. Cottage really clean and comfortable but could have done with the storage heaters turning up a fraction as weather very cold. Feb 2011.
  5. Lovely quiet setting, lots of wildlife, no traffic. May 2010.
  6. Walks from doorstep, good size, very well equipped. April 2010.
  7. Very peaceful surroundings but with easy access to nearby tourist attractions. It was truly out in the countryside - Stars were gorgeous at night! Cottage was comfortable and good facilities, very well equipped. March 2010.
  8. Comfortable and warm, although one bedroom was quite cold on arrival. Weather was very cold with heavy snow so we weren’t able to get out much; might suggest that a video or DVD player would be good for such a situation especially for people with children. Also the CD player didn’t work. It was a really enjoyable stay though. Dec 2009.
  9. It was in a quiet position but was ideally placed to get to all the places, including Alnwick, Bamburgh and Scotland that we wished to visit. Oct 2009.
  10. Excellent location for walking and quiet ’getaway from it all’. Quiet location. Plenty of parking, (garage available). Good location for walking local hills and/or access to coast/Lindisfarne etc. Garden available for sitting out. July 2009.
  11. Peaceful and lots of wildlife - swallows, hares, partridges. July 2009.
  12. Quiet countryside retreat, but close enough to towns not to feel cut off. June 2008.
  13. Very cosy and warm. Our one year old daughter and our dog loved the adventure of wandering around the garden too. Beautiful area, would love to come again to stay. Feb 2008.
  14. Cosy, comfy cottage in an idyllic spot. Oct 2007.
  15. Excellent stay, surroundings, property lovely quiet off the beaten track short break. 11 out of 10. April 2007.
