Property Description

This single storey old milking parlour is set amidst 300 acres of arable farm. Amble along the many paths around the farm and in the area. A canoe and kayak for guests use (at their own risk) on the lake in the grounds. Fishing available - bring own tackle. Set on the edge of Dedham Vale and Constable Country, within easy reach of Bury St. Edmunds, Ipswich and Colchester. Golf and sailing close by. Shops and restaurants 2 miles, pubs 1/2 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room with French doors/dining room. Kitchen with tiled floor. Beams throughout. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft) with en-suite bathroom with shower attachment and toilet, 1 twin. Shower room with toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. Satellite TV. Video. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Courtyard and furniture. Shared use of 300 acre arable farm. Parking (3 cars). No smoking. Friday to Friday.

  1. Do not be put off by the outside on arrival at this property. The cottage is so well equipped and the location and walks are idyllic - the most peaceful and restful holiday we have had. June 2012.

  4. Don’t be put off by the journey between Hadley and the cottage its worth it when you get there. External appearance on arrival (ex-farm yard) is very deceptive inside the cottage is lovely don’t worry on arrival. April 2011.
  5. It is tucked away from the road, and yet you have the comfort of knowing that the owner is nearby in the next property, and she is very approachable. The beds are very comfortable, and the owner has given thought to what her holiday makers want from the cottage. Sept 2010.

  7. We loved the location and our son adored the lake with the boat and the island (his dream come true he says!) The cottage is beautifully decorated and really well equipped. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
