Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We stayed in a lovely, rustic barn conversion. Everything about it was excellent, especially the wood stove, the huge double bed and the internal exposed stone walls. Nov 2011.
  2. Spacious and attractive accommodation really off the beaten track, with plenty of walking on your doorstep. Oct 2011.
  3. What a fantastic place - so peaceful, and with the most incredible views. Great walking straight from the house, with different scenery in every direction. Lovely! Sept 2011.
  4. A lovely property with stunning views and perfect for a romantic getaway. The property is reached by a rough track/road so is really only suitable for a 4x4 vehicle. We will be back to visit again. Sept 2011.
  5. A truly wonderful retreat to get away from it all. Surrounded by mountains and wildlife we couldn’t have wished for a better position. Accommodation 1st class, though would benefit from a barbecue to enjoy outside living in the summer. Need to take on board the fact that a 4-wheel drive is recommended as the road certainly takes its toll on a car. Will be visiting again in the future. July 2011.
  6. Fabulous location, lovely hosts, very comfortable spacious accommodation. One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. May 2011.
  7. Superb location for an excellently equiped property. Breathless views. Genial hosts, highly recommended. April 2011.
  8. The beauty of the cottage was its relatively remote location. I did not realise this until after I had committed to it and the prospect of access by 3 miles of unmade road had worried me. In fact access was not a problem at all and the seclusion at the end of it was a delight. May 2011.
  9. The Byre was perfect!! Just what we were looking for & more, the owners were very accommodating, we had a bottle of wine welcoming us & the kettle was on! Fresh hens eggs in the fridge & a warm welcome. The cottage was very well equipped with a touch of luxury & the scenery, wildlife & general feeling about the place was amazing!!! Oct 2010.
  10. Stunning scenery and accommodation which exceeded all expectations! The road to The Byre was very rough - we wished we’d had a 4x4! Other than that we couldn’t fault it - truly wonderful! Oct 2010.
  11. The property exceeds your expectations. A fantastic open plan kitchen/living/dining room with a stunning picture window looking out on to the glen. Huge bedroom, a majestic, super comfortable bed with the most exquisite bedlinen. Sept 2010.
  12. The property did not just meet our expectations, it exceeded them. It is unusual to have so much space in a property for two people but it was lovely to be able to ’spread out’. The location is stunning - I sat in an armchair as dusk was falling and watched red deer feeding on the surrounding hillside. July 2010.
  13. Stunning location with 360o views of the hills and herds of red deer grazing in the evenings. Very comfortable accommodation. Well equipped kitchen and luxurious bedroom. The owners made us most welcome. Access best suited to 4x4 vehicles. We will definitely be back. July 2010.
