This charming Victorian Lakeland stone terrace cottage stands in the very heart of Windermere. The property has been refurbished throughout providing a warm and comfortable holiday home. Quietly situated 2 minutes walk from the bustling centre of this popular Lakeland village with easy access to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Water sports and cruises on the Lake, within 2 miles. Ideally situated for exploring the central lakes and fells with a variety of activities and interesting things to do and see on the doorstep. Shop 50 yards, restaurant 70 yards.

Lower ground floor: Dining room with tiled floor. Kitchen. Conservatory. Ground floor: Living room. 1 single bedroom (for alternative sleeping). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 twin with en-suite shower room and toilet.

Gas coal-effect fire in living room included. Gas central heating, electricity and bed linen included. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Patio. Parking (1 car). No smoking. Friday to Friday.

  2. Everything we needed, like home from home, we are very keen to re-book, weather was like four seasons in one day - but thats the lake district at that time of year (November) and we went for scenery and walking. Oct 2012.
  3. The central location was great - easy access to Windermre shops etc. The accommodation was good with the property being very clean and the beds were comfortable. A radio in the dining room would have been good because it was a little bit quiet without it. The conservatory was nice and bright as the rest of the cottage was a bit dark. The stairs were good for exercise - we were constantly forgetting things that were on the basement level when we were in the bedroom. It would have been difficult if you had mobility problems.The Burrow was a typical Lakeland cottage - small but comfortable. July 2012.
  4. Located right in town, plus only a 20min walk to the lake. Great back door (conservatory) entrance for wet dogs. Big tv is good, plus comfy sofa. The Elleray pub is superb if its raining (or sunny!), you have a dog, like a different local pint each time, and want great food. June 2012.
  5. The cottage was very clean and decorated comfortably and cosily. it is in a great location with all amenities nearby and the beauty of the lakes on the doorstep! April 2012.

  7. Excellent for us as we were walking most days and had a dog. The property was perfect with a rear entrance and a drying rack so we didn’t have to use the front door and walk through the house. Also the parking space at the rear of the property was a real bonus as spaces on the front were like hot-cakes. Dec 2011.
  8. Fantastic location. Every comfort in the cottage. A real home fom home. Supermarket on the corner of the road and a selection of cafes nearby. We explored the Lake District by car during the day. The weather was unbelievable for November. No rain and plenty of sunshine. We particularly enjoyed our visits to Keswick and Hawkshead. Oct 2011.
  9. The property was in an excellent central location, within walking distance to amenities and other interesting destinations. The facilities at the property were very good and it was comfortable especially the beds. Aug 2011.
