Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A long drive down the farm track but peaceful and well worth the drive. Garden was dog proof (and child). Although next to the farm house you have complete privacy. Well worth a holiday there. Sept 2012.
  2. This cottage is situated in central Scotland so is fantastic for your visits to, Stirling, Edinburgh, Perth and the trossachs to name but a few places. You are also very near to the lochs where you can sail aboard the refitted Sir Walter Scott steamship on the gorgeous Loch Kathrine and enjoy seeing the mountains and wildlife in comfort. You could also look for Nessie in Loch Ness - be one of the first to photograph him! One thing is sure, you will always find a warm welcome from the owners of the Bothy and the local people. Try the local pub for great meals and dog friendly to boot. The cottage is quite special set on a working farm but not at all noisy, the enclosed garden was fantastic for our dog and sunbathing. It really is a home from home except they have a much bigger bathroom than we do! It was great and we will be back, we have also told all our friends about it. Thanks again for a great week and hope your dog is brining back the ball to you now. May 2012.
  3. The Bothy is located on a farm which is brilliant if you have a dog as there are loads of fields for them to run around in. It is a clean and well equipped cottage. With amazing views. It is located a short drive from Loch Lomond and you can be in Edinburgh in just under an hour. Loads to do and see in Stirling too. April 2012.

  5. Great location for touring, two good places to eat in the village of Kippen. Sept 2011.
  6. Located 1 mile off the main road this quiet open plan property suits a couple or small family. Geographical location is an ideal touring base with easy access to a diverse range of attractions. Oct 2011.
  7. If you want a quiet relaxed peaceful place this is it. Lovely location within easy reach of tourist venues. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to others. June 2011.
  8. About a mile up single lane farm track, but away from it all in the middle of lovely countryside. Also handy for Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh and plenty more attractions. Good base. June 2011.
  9. Because of a destructive storm we stayed indoors one day. We amused ourselves with the provided jigsaws and literature, and inside it was nice and comfy. May 2011.
  10. The Bothy was clean and comfortable with all the comforts of home, even a dishwasher. Great being located on a farm, our dog had a brilliant time chasing Hares most mornings. Well situated for all the sites in and around Stirling such as the castle, the Wallace monument and Loch Lomond. April 2011.
  11. Excellent secure garden for the dog. Lovely warm welcome. Would recommend it but don’t expect to be able to walk to the shops! April 2011.
  12. Love the situation, on a farm up a long track, away from it all! Peace and quiet if you want it, but Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh all within easy reach. April 2011.
  13. We enjoyed the sky lights when raining - and wrapped up in bed warm, with wind and rain hitting loudly on sky lights. Large bath room. Oct 2010.
  14. Out in the countryside - very quiet and peaceful. Centrally located for visiting the west and east coast of Scotland. Sept 2010.
  15. The property was comfortable and very well equipped, the setting was perfect for a peaceful holiday yet central to alot of attractions, excellent holiday location. Aug 2010.
  16. It was very well equipped, with all the little extras. This property is about a mile from the main road which was nice as it was very quiet. Being a working farm there was no noise heard from the farm. June 2010.

  18. Comfortable and good value for money. May 2010.
  19. Good accommodation, could be tricky to find if you dont have good sat nav directions, could do with a sign on main road as it’s a mile down a farm track. Sept 2009.
