Property Description

In a splendid position, within walking distance of an excellent sandy beach, this family home enjoys its own indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory with French doors opening out onto the enclosed lawned garden. Comfortably furnished throughout offering spacious holiday accommodation, the property is equipped with all modern day comforts to provide a warm welcome at any time of year. Having no internal steps and the benefit of a single level bathroom, it is suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
The village of Sea Palling offers shops, pubs and fine sandy beaches backed by sand dunes, all located in an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty. There are several old flint cottages that still exist in the village and Palling Mill still stands in good repair though without cap or sails. Nearby is the town of Stalham where visitors will find a museum of the broads, down by Stalham Staithe, and can experience how broads people used to live. There are exhibits including a vintage holiday cruiser, a traditional steam launch and gun punt complete with guns. Slightly round the coast is Waxham Great Barn, a historic 16th-century building, which has undergone extensive restoration work, with seasonal tea rooms. Located within easy driving distance are the Norfolk Broads, a haven for wild life, where the expanse of waterway is best explored by boat - daily motor launch hire and river trips are available with plenty of riverside restaurants and picnic opportunities. The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth, 10 miles, for fun fair and amusements, and slightly further afield are the seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham, famous for shell fish and the Poppyline Steam Railway. A trip along the coastal route leads towards the RSPB and Salt Marsh Nature Reserves for excellent walks and bird watching opportunities. Boat trips to visit the Blakeney Point Nature Reserve are available from Blakeney and Morston Quay. The city of Norwich, 18 miles, for excellent shopping, cafes, restaurants, theatre, cinema complexes, castle museum and cathedral. Shop and pub ¼ mile.

  1. If your looking for a quiet location, like a nice walk along a fabulous beach and want a home from home this is the place to be. Warm and comfortable property with everything you need close by. Oct 2012.
  2. Excellent facilities and very high standard. July 2012.
  3. Fab holiday to take children of all ages, pool is out of this world! The kids loved it. Nice clean modern accommodation, did not want to leave! May 2012.
  4. The Beeches was much better than expected, larger, very modern, bright - lots of windows. Swimming pool was lovely and warm - (lovely for the our girls, age 4 & 8, to learn to swim in). Fantastic location, just down a dead end road. A small shop that had everything you could want is a 2 min walk away, the superb large sandy beach is a easy 5 min walk away. The small town of Stalham is a 10 min drive with take away’s and a large Tescos. Can’t wait to book for next year, this is a real gem. March 2012.
  5. Very little traffic, bungalow is up a cul de sac. Very comfortable and spacious wet room is a bonus. With a Tesco’s 10 minutes by car and a local shop a 2 minute walk, we were able to have our morning paper! Beach was fantastic, 5 minute walk! The swimming pool was well used every day. We would certainly like to go there again. March 2012.
  6. Excellent family accommodation close to the beach and nearby attractions. March 2012.
  7. Comfortable, very clean, ideal position. Excellent pool. All necessary utensils available. Christmas tree, wine and chocs on arrival a lovely touch. Dec 2011.
  8. Property is in a lovely location, beautifully quiet and only a 2 minute walk from the beach. Weather wasn’t great, but the pool definitely made up for it! The property was well presented and very clean when we arrived. Whole family very much enjoyed staying at the beeches and would definitely visit again. Oct 2011.
  9. The Beeches was a lovely bungalow. The private pool is an instant hit with our son, who spent most of his time in it. It would benefit from some rails on the steps for the less mobile. The facilities were perfect, though the mobile network signal was poor and intermitant, so it would benefit from having a payphone installed. Sea Palling is a lovely beach and the doughnuts and doughtnut sundaes from the cafe really are lovely. I can also recommend the Waterside restaurant about 10 minutes south on the A149 at Rollesby for a meal and a trip out onto the broads. We also went to the Africa Alive animal park at Lowestoft. We paid an extra £15 per person and took the Africa Plains experience, where we went into an enclosure in the back of an open top Landrover and saw Rhino, Zebra, Ostriches, Gazzelle and Girraffes. We hand fed the Girraffes, which was well worth the money. We had a great holiday - didn’t get to use the fire as it was too warm. Aug 2011.
  10. Fantastic for the beach - which was perfect for young children, and a corner shop less than a minutes walk. Very nicely appointed and clean and the swimming pool was a real boon - if a little on the ’cold’ side! Aug 2011.
  11. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and the pool was a bonus. There is however no mobile phone coverage in Sea Palling whatsoever, and the bungalow has no phone, though there is one in the village. This information does not appear in the details of the bungalow and I feel that it should be included. A pay-phone in the property is therefore essential, this is reinforced by other entries in the visitor’s book. July 2011.
  12. Superb holiday bungalow. Local shop excellent and reasonably priced. July 2011.
  13. A lovely property, the pool was fantastic and as the weather wasn’t brilliant it had a lot of use, the children enjoyed playing in the lovely enclosed garden wnd we did manage to have a bbq despite the weather. May 2011.
  14. We had a fantastic week and love the area however the lack of internet means we currently wouldn’t consider this property again. The pool is amazing and were in it every day, lovely temperature, I could have stayed in all day and I normally get cold after 10 mins in a pool! If anything, the bathrooms could maybe do with updating a bit? this would be the only slightly negative thing I would say on the bungalow decor-wise. June 2011.
  15. Good, clean, comfortable accommodation, would recommend. Enjoyed the stay. May 2011.
  16. Lovely comfortable property, clean with good modern furnishings. The swimming pool is, however, the outstanding feature and is a lovely warm retreat on a cold day. Feb 2011.
  17. Fantastic location, property very well kept, the decor and maintenance of an exceptional high standard, lovely garden, very private, lots of luxuries within the property, ie, 3 flat screen tv’s with sky and free view, dish washer and washing machine and general mod cons. The swimming pool was of an c high standard with its own locker and bathroom ! Overall , very clean and tidy, the welcome pack was a nice touch ie milk in the fridge and fresh flowers! Lots of leaflets and brochures of places to visit were out on display for us to view which was a huge help as well as the visitors comment book!
  18. The nice kitchen, the pool! What a godsend as the weather was not so good, good info on things to do, the house on the hole was great BUT the showers could do with an upgrade to power showers otherwise we loved it, thank you for a nice week. Aug 2010.
  19. Excellent accommodation - spacious, lovely matching furniture throughout. Two comfortable and roomy seating areas. Beautiful conservatory. Very light due to the 3 sets of patio doors. Garden was immaculate. Swimming pool was the icing on the cake. June 2010.
  20. The property was in beautiful decorative order and was clean, comfortable and exceptionally well furnished. April 2010.
