Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely holiday accommodation, especially if you want to get away from it all. The property was the best equipped one we have ever stayed in. We didnt need to take half the things as they were all provided. Very remote location with a gorgeous view. You will certainly need a sat nav to find your way around the narrow lanes. Pub one mile away easily walked in 15 minutes, serving great meals and a very friendly atmosphere. Many seaside resorts within 30 minutes drive. Lovely bays and coves. Exceptional cream teas in Lyme Regis! June 2012.
  2. A very comfortable and restful place to stay - extremely spacious for a 2-person property. The owners were very helpful. April 2012.
  3. This is our second visit to The Shippon and think it is the best it has everything and to a high standard and owner unobtrusive but helpful if you need her. April 2012.
  4. Quiet and restful. Feb 2012.
  5. Perfect cottage, quality fixtures and fittings, ideal location. Jan 2012.
  6. Fabulous! Loved it! Dec 2011.
  7. Superb cottage in a ideal location. A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Would definitely return... Oct 2011.
  8. The Shippon was one of the most comfortable and well equipped holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. The high standard of finishing also makes it luxurious. Highly recommended. Oct 2011.
  9. Excellent property, couldn’t fault it. Owner very helpful and friendly. Freshly laid eggs and some milk in the fridge were welcomed. Quiet and pretty views all around. Family of pheasants and rabbits in the garden were great to watch. May 2011.
  10. Home from home, superb, what more can we say. May 2011.
  11. We decided the cottage owners should act as ’consultants’ to other individuals who aspire to this type of business. The cottage was fabulous and provided everything one needed for a relaxing holiday. 10/10. April 2011.
  12. Amazing property, really high standard. Owner very welcoming. March 2011.
  13. Very quiet rural location with views across the valley from the provided garden furniture and master bed. Warm welcom and local advice. Pub within walking distance. Warm and cosy underfloor heating with log fire. Powerful hot shower. Close proximity to second property with shared court yard but didnt impinge on our privacy. Very spacioius open plan living area. Well positioned for day trips to Jurasic coast, East Dartmore, Dorest and Somerset. Peaceful rural walks from the front door. Exceeded expectations. March 2011.
  14. We use your company all the time for self catering but this cottage exceeded all expections in terms of views and comfort. The owner and her son were very helpful and provided us with logs, milk and eggs on arrival. If I’m being really picky the only thing missing was a chair and full length mirror in the bedroom but everything else was perfect. March 2011.
  15. Seclusion, great size, just great. Feb 2011.
  16. Light, spacious living area with lovely wood burning stove. Kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed even for Christmas lunch. Dec 2010.
  17. Tranquil & peaceful, very clean, very informative and friendly. Nov 2010.
  18. Property has beautiful views, especially from bedroom window and is in a lovely, quiet location. On our arrival the owner made us very welcome and had provided fresh eggs, milk and flowers in the property. Oct 2010.
  19. Quiet, comfortable, warm and relaxing. Lovely and peaceful, nice views, incredible night skies. Oct 2010.
  20. We have stayed in many cottages with your company and have been pleased with all of them, but this one is excellent. The cleanliness, the furnishings, the setting and the charm of the owner all add up to an outstanding property. Oct 2010.
