The holiday property affords easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, Howardian Hills and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and an easy nine miles along the road leads to the magnificent walled city of York. Castle Howard, Harewood House and the White Horse at Kilburn are all within easy driving distance, making this the perfect holiday location for discovering the heritage and beauty of North Yorkshire. This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route, come and experience the spectacular scenery for yourself and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.

  3. A wonderful property, with extremely welcoming and helpful hosts. The barn provided real comfort in the evenings following days visiting York and surrounding countryside. There was very limited signal for mobiles and internet hence it was a real pleasure to be away from the rat race and spend time as a family, eating drinking and playing board games in the evenings! I’ve already recommended the Barn to friends and family and hopefully we’ll return next year. Oct 2011.

  5. Fantastic property in a lovely village just 10 minutes drive to the park and ride for York. Loads of fantastic places to eat for both couples and families. We have two children aged 8 and 2 and they loved every minute of it, especially seeing the chickens in the morning roaming around the Orchard. There are so many places to visit it would be impossible to get bored and we will definitely be back. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful and our whole holiday was fantastic. Aug 2011.

  7. Quiet location as the Barn is set in a peaceful village, just a few miles from York and an easy distance from a larger village of Easinwold. The property is well presented with lovely gardens to enjoy. There was a friendly welcome from the owners who live nearby and gave helpful information but are otherwise unobtrusive. The cottage was very comfortable & well equipped and the owners included a number of little touches that we appreciated greatly. It was spotlessly clean throughout - one of the most clean cottages in which we had stayed. The Barn has a high reputation and deservedly so, and we would consider returning. June 2011.
  10. Lovely clean and cosy property located on the owner’s grounds. Wonderful hosts who can’t do enough for you but never intrusive. Beautiful garden with chickens at the end offering fresh eggs every morning. Located in a great area for visiting York, Harrogate, the coast and the Dales. Would highly recommend this let. May 2011.
