Ambleside 3 miles, water sports at Windermere and Coniston 8 miles. Shops 2½ miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.

External open-tread stairs to first floor: Open-plan beamed living/dining room with feature stove and door to balcony. Fitted kitchen area. Two beamed bedrooms; one 5ft with TV, one twin with en-suite shower room and toilet. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

  3. The property is very nice for up to 4 people. The setting is excellent particularly if you like walking. We would recommend getting an OS map and the walking guide available from the on site shop as the walks are excellent. Recommended walk to the cafe at the river which serves glorious cakes.   5. Wonderful location, view from balcony window is pure Lakeland. Accomodation was absolutely fine for a family of 4 (plus the dog). Great walks; direct from the front door if you don’t want to drive. On-site Pool was small but enjoyable. Definiately a place to re-visist. April 2011.
