The house stands in pretty cottage style gardens with an upper garden hillside woodland and is located well away from traffic up a private lane. 5 minute walk to Fairbourne with long stretch of sand, close to Barmouth, a lively seaside resort. Easy driving distance to Harlech Castle, Portmeirion Ffestiniog railway. Horse riding and golf nearby. Shop and pub 2/3 mile.

Ground floor: Living room with wooden floor. Dining room. Kitchen. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, 1 bunk (2ft 6in for children). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburning stove in living room (no fuel provided). Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Video. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Garden and furniture. ⅓-acre woodland. No smoking. NB: 12 steep steps up to woodland.

It was neither isolated nor crowded and we will certainly be keen to return in the future as we love this area of Wales and felt at home instantly.   16. It was very homely and incredibly well equipped. The owners obviously love it and we felt very relaxed. This is a really warm and welcoming family home. A little bit tatty around the edges but in a nice way that makes you feel instantly relaxed, rather than stepping on eggshells. The location is fabulous and the views excellent. The garden may not suit those with toddlers as it’s a bit rocky and split level but perfect for anyone who has full grasp of balance! The most amazing bit was all the provisions - books, DVDs, games, tea towels, cleaning product etc that means if you’ve forgotten something (pegs, barbeque, bath oil, dishwasher tablets), it’s more than likely available and you can replace as you use. July 2009.
