This delightful 18th century stone family cottage has been fully restored, tastefully decorated and equipped to a good standard to offer a spacious and welcoming holiday home.

It is on the edge of Taden village, overlooking the Rance Valley within 1.25 miles (2km) of Dinan, a medieval town with the most outstanding architectural heritage in Brittany.

The wonderful mansion and garden of painter Yvonne Jean-Haffen and the pavement cafés of Dinan Port are 0.75 mile (1km) and an easy drive away (12.5 miles, 20km) is the Emerald Coast. The attached annexe is occasionally used by the owner’s family.

Shop and café/bar 1 mile (1.5km), restaurant 0.75 miles (1km), beach 12.5 miles (20km).

Ground floor: Lounge, dining room, kitchen, separate toilet and basin. First floor: Bathroom with 2 basins, shower room with toilet and basin, 5 bedrooms: 2 double, 1 twin, 2 single.

Electric central heating, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, highchair, colour TV, DVD player, video, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, enclosed lawned garden, patio, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 3 cars. One pet welcome. No smoking please.

  4. Everything about this cottage is fabulous. We had extraordinarily good weather during our week here and we went to the beaches nearby at Lancieux every day. The garden is large and safe for the kids. There are loads of good restaurants in the town of Dinan, which it is possible to walk to (a bit of a trek though!), and a fantastic market on Thursday morning. May 2011.
  5. The location for exploring that area was excellent. A short walk to the interesting town and port of Dinan. July 2010.
  6. Good family gite - good accommodation and a large garden- well positioned with easy access to towns Dinan, Dinard and St Malo. The furniture in the lounge could be more comfortable. Could we suggest some wardrobes and mirrors in the main bedrooms? The family thoroughly enjoyed the 10 night stay and would love to go back. The owners are very approachable and helpful and a pleasure to meet. A beautiful area of France with plenty to see and do. June 2010.
  7. Wonderful location within a short walk to the historic port of Dinan. Warm welcome with breakfast and coffee. Underfloor heating and endless hot water made it very comfortable. The owners speak very good English which may be or reassurance to some. April 2010.

  10. The house is excellent. We have visited 3 times for an annual reunion with friends. The kitchen area is fantastic for sitting around the large table with lots of tasty food and wine. If you don’t fancy cooking then the riverside restaurants are just at the bottom of the hill. The owners are very friendly and have always made us feel extremely welcome. May 2008.
