This comfortable first floor holiday apartment is ideal for those looking for a central location within walking distance of a variety of shops and a good choice of restaurants close at hand. There is a regular bus service and the railway station is situated close by. The property is within a few minutes walk of Lake Windermere, the longest lake in England, where pleasure cruises can be taken, or take the ferry to Ambleside for an alternative day out. The Beatrix Potter Exhibition is close by and well worth a visit. Shops, pub and restaurants 15 metres.

External stairs to entrance. All on first floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

NSH, electric panel heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Digital TV. DVD. Stereo/CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Parking (1 car). No smoking.

  1. The location of this flat is excellent, just a short walk to supermarket, pubs, restaurants, cash point and bus stop. Parking is free (this isn’t mentioned in the description) and there is a fridge in the flat (this wasn’t mentioned either). Five minutes walk takes you to Bowness Pier. The walk back is quite steep but there is a pub half way up the hill where you can stop for a breather and enjoy and excellent pint of Cumberland bitter. This is one of the best holidays we’ve ever had and the comfort and location of this flat certainly contributed to this. May 2012.

  11. The property that we stayed in was very good value for money. It was clean, comfortable, modern and really handy for local amenities. It was the perfect location for exploring the lakes, with the tour boats and ferry only 5 mins walk away. There were plenty of bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. I would highly recommend the Italian restaurant right next door!!! (Try the fish soup). Jan 2009.
