Property Description

Superbly renovated by its current owners and offering spacious, comfortable holiday accommodation and an ideal base in the delightful village of Ropsley. The area has many walking and cycle routes and it is a short drive to Grantham, 7 miles, Sleaford, 13 miles, or Stamford, home of Burghley International Horse Trials, 28 miles. Lincolnshire was WW2 Bomber Country and RAF Cranwell and its Aviation Museum are just a few miles from Sleaford. Ropsley has two pubs serving food, one just 50 yards away. Shops 6 miles, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with beams and oak floor. Dining room/kitchen with beams and tiled floor. Utility room. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with en-suite toilet, 1 single. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Multi-fuel burner in living room (initial fuel included). Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Three Freeview TVs. DVD. CD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave.   2. This beautiful cottage has been fitted out to a very high standard; well thought out. Easy walk to 2 pubs that do food. No shop in the village but all the big stores in nearby Grantham. A good base for touring this end of Lincolnshire. Sept 2012.

  4. Beautiful, clean and well kept property with a lovely garden. There were clear instructions for every electrical equipment. It is the kind of cottage we dream about and it is near to two good food pubs. Locals were very friendly too. If it had a dishwasher then we would mark everything 10/10. Aug 2012.

  9. This was a wonderful cottage, which has been renovated to a very high standard. The owners were helpful, kind and friendly. We were very comfortable in the cottage and will certainly come back. The owners left a lot of helpful information about the surrounding area and things to do. The cottage also has a lot of additional extras such as a large widescreen television and surround sound system which all add to the holiday experience. The log fire in the cottage was amazing!   11. This is by far the nicest holiday cottage we have stayed in. Set in a pretty village, the cottage is warm, cosy and very well equipped. We had a lovely winter week, plenty of places to visit nearby and very nice countryside. We will certainly return. Jan 2012.

  19. The cottage was really cosy and welcoming. The owners, who were there to greet us were equally welcoming and very helpful. The local pub/restaurant The Ropsley Fox was a real find as well. We would thoroughly recommend this for a get away from it all break (especially as phones and internet are pretty much unavailable as well!). May 2011.
