This detached barn conversion is full of ’olde worlde’ character, with exposed oak beams, yet with all modern day comforts. It is situated on the hillside, a mile from the village of Waberthwaite, in the south-west corner of the Lake District National Park. Its elevated position provides panoramic views over the Lakeland Fells and the Irish Sea. Holidaymakers can enjoy sitting on the patio area and watching the sunset behind the Isle of Man. An excellent area for walking, cycling and visiting attractions in the area, from the Bird of Prey Centre and gardens at Muncaster Castle, to a ride on the miniature railway at Ravenglass. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living room with beams and wooden floor/kitchen. Dining room. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with en-suite toilet, 1 twin, each with beams.

First £5 electric central heating and electricity included, remainder by coin meter. Bed linen and towels included. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Garden with patio and furniture. Portable barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Natural water supply from spring. No smoking. NB: There is a stream at this property.

  13. The pictures on the website do not do this accommodation justice! It is very spacious, we easily fitted 6 adults in comfortably. The whole area is gorgeous and we will definitely be going back. Wonderful hosts too! Dec 2008.
  14. The photos on your site of Stonefold cottage does not do it justice. Its beautiful. Also it would be helpful to add to the directions that it takes about an hour and half to get there after you get off the motorway. At one point we thought we were lost. Aug 2006.
