  1. A beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful farm setting. Ideally located to explore the Yorshire Moors and the North Yorkshire coast including Whitby, Scarborough and Staithes. Dec 2012.
  2. Very well appointed cottage with an interesting split-level sitting area. Brilliant views over the countryside. Very spacious and comfortable. Sept 2012.
  3. Stone Cross is located in an idyllic location in the North Yorks Moors. It was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed with flowers and a bottle of red wine. A superb base to explore N Yorks from. We are seriously considering staying here again. June 2012.

  5. The cottage was beautiful although a few more cooking utensils etc would have been helpful. Another easy chair also would have been ideal. Loved the underfloor heating. Walks from cottage excellent. Dec 2011.
  6. A wonderful holiday cottage with all you could require for a peaceful retreat to recharge your batteries. Phone reception is rubbish....which is a good thing!! Please note that the village pub in Lastingham doesn’t do food on a Sunday evening....we walked there and had to walk to Appleton le moors for food....which, i might add, was excellent. We will definitely be returning when next we need to ’get away from it all’ Thank you. Oct 2011.
  7. Excellent accommodation, perfect for a couple. Really cosy, had everything we needed. Lovely location and very clean property. Welcome pack of milk, bottle of wine on table and fresh flowers a really nice touch. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. Sept 2011.

  9. A snug retreat in a rural and relaxing location, this cottage had easy access to many towns and villages for day trips. July 2011.
  10. Cottage location on the farm was brilliant, views of the Moors unbelievable very very quiet.Because we had the small cottage for two it has the lounge area on a mezzanine floor above kitchen/diner which my wife was apprehensive about as we have been living in a bungalow for many years. Would recommend to anybody, brilliant. July 2011.
  11. Beautiful barn conversion with everything you need even a bottle of wine and fresh flowers on arrival. June 2011.

  18. Very smartly presented. All the furniture was clean, tidy and comfortable, very homely. We were very impressed. Also, a very nice location with a pleasant view across the countryside. Oct 2010.
  19. Just as described in brochure and just as we wanted it to be. Oct 2010.
  20. I have stayed in a number of cottages through your company and must say this is probably one of the best we have stayed in. I know it is a new cottage and has only been available for a couple of months so everything was clean and new, but the overall standard was excellent. Little touches like fresh flowers and a bottle of wine on arrival go a long way to impress, its a pity more owners do not take the trouble to do this. The owner was polite, friendly, and could not do enough to make our stay as perfect as it was. Full marks to her, I would be happy for you to pass on my comments. We will definitely re-book this cottage at some stage in the near future. Oct 2010.
