Property Description

This stone built terraced holiday cottage is situated in the small village of Loughor and lies on the estuary of the river Loughor. It is comfortably furnished, offering a great base from which to explore the surrounding areas. The beautiful Gower Peninsula, with its many sandy beaches, hidden coves and dramatic coastline is just 9 miles away and within a few minutes’ walk across the Loughor bridge is the Millennium Coastal Path. The Machynys Peninsula Golf and Country Club is nearby and there are many historical places of interest, such as castles, caves and fishing harbours to visit. Shop 200 yards, pub 10 yards, restaurant 50 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with French doors. Kitchen. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 single. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Enclosed garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car). No smoking. NB: 4 steps in garden.

  6. Situated on the side of the castle mound overlooking the Loughor estuary this workmans terraced cottage is warm, clean and well appointed. It is only a short drive to the Mumbles or Worms Head at Rhossili and other beauty spots on the Gower or there are many good walks along the river or across the bridge to Llanelli. The road on which it is situated is a cul-de-sac that used to run down the hill to the station, now cut off by a new coast road serving the new river bridge, hence it is quiet. A foot path now continues from the lane to a large recreation area below the castle ruins providing a safe area for children to play. Directly opposite the cottage is an excellent Pub although it is closed on Mondays! April 2012.

  10. Very comfortable cottage. The bed was really comfortable and quality of linens very good. Lovely little touches like Champneys hand wash and lotion. Mirror and plug points near to each other so easy to dry/style hair etc. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy sofas. Perhaps a tip to the owner would be that it would have been great if there had been info on walks in Gower as its such a beautiful area to explore. Had a lovely week and very good base. Sept 2011.
