Standing in a rural location in the lovely Sussex countryside, this tasteful, light and spacious, detached converted barn is accessed by external stairs and provides an ideal retreat for couples wanting a peaceful break. It is ideally placed for scenic walks, with direct access onto an adjoining deer park and public footpaths. Situated adjacent to the owner’s home, Stable Barn is only 400 yards along the country lane to the local pub, and is only around 25 minutes’ drive from the nearest beach. There are many tourist attractions all within easy reach, including NT homes and gardens, Brighton, Worthing, Arundel Castle, Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, Chichester, Goodwood and Fontwell races. Shop 2 miles, pub 400 yards.

  1. An excellent location for exploring this lovely part of the world. Wonderfully quiet and secluded property - we even managed to use the balcony! Well equipped and comfortable accommodation meant staying in was as good as going out and about. TIP - tall people beware! Sloping ceilings can make life interesting! We would certainly re-visit this area and stay here again. June 2012.
  2. The barn conversion was beautiful, well appointed warm and comfortable. We even had two slices of welcome cake waiting for us. The property was far enough of the main run to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to visit Bright/Horsham etc. All in all a perfect holiday property whether you just want a break from the rat race or use it as base for visiting. 10 out 10 could not fault it! April 2012.
  3. The property was in an ideal location for visiting Sussex, and the owners were delightful. May 2011.
  4. Great location, very comfortable bed, kitchen compact but did the job very well. Slope of roof in bathroom made loo use slightly tricky for the taller chap standing! Very nice welcome from owners who were very helpful and pleasant but never intrusive. No hesitation in commending the place whole heartedly. May 2011.
  5. Property ideally located to explore local area with some nice walks from the doorstep. Local pub with nice food just down the road. Cottage is very nicely decorated, quiet and comfortable. We were able to eat our evening meals on the terrace in April! There are low beams so a warning for tall people a good idea! April 2011.
  6. Lovely, cosy place for 2 with all the amenities. Great location - lots of footpaths and bridleways from your doorstep for some great walking in beautiful countryside. Wonderful pub just a few hundreds yard away with good beer and good food. Other good pubs a short drive away. Very friendly owners. Feb 2011.
