This detached holiday cottage has great views over the woods nearby and enjoys its own private garden and a tennis court (with basketball net). There is also a fenced lake nearby, orchard and 2 acres of woodland. Although located in a rural area, all facilities can be found close by, and this is an ideal base for walking, cycling or touring the surrounding area. Just 10km away is the 17th century castle of Torigny-sur-Vire, and Bayeux with its famous tapestry, cathedral and restaurants is only 20km away. The Landing Beaches of Arranches are 35km, as is Caen with its château, museums and ferry port.

Ground floor: Lounge, dining room, kitchen, utility room, shower room with toilet and basin. First floor: Bathroom with toilet and basin, 3 double bedrooms.

Electric heating, woodburner in lounge, all fuel and power at cost, bed linen included in rent, colour satellite TV, video, DVD player, washing machine, freezer, microwave, enclosed lawned garden, picnic table, barbecue, ample off road parking. Sorry, no pets. NB: Steep, open-tread stairs to first floor. Fenced lake close by.

  1. Charming location and cottage. Well equipped. Not easy to find and would recommend getting there before sundown, but the instructions were very good! Stairs steep but our 80 year old mum managed - young kids may be tricky. Caretakers very helpful and kind. Lovely holiday. Good location for exploring the local area, Baxeux, Landing beaches and cemeteries etc, whilst having the added bonus of enjoying the tranquility of being in the middle of nowhere! July 2011.
